Humanity has a weird relationship with poison.

Mint has shaped itself into having a unpleasant taste to ward off any herbivores from eating it.

And what does humanity does ? Turning it into candy cause they like that minty flavour.

Spices ? Put it on meals to give it better taste.

But if it was just that !

Tabacco ? That brown stuff that taste awful and hard to digest ?

"Hm, what if i inhale the toxic fumes that comes out of this stuff when i burn it ?"

Alcohol ? Food waste that has turned into liquid poison ?

"Hm, what if i drink a whole of this stuff that makes me dizzy and sick until i collapse ?"

Humanity has made multiple flourishing markets out of stuff that are terrible for our health.

Can you imagine telling this to alien ambassadors ?
