Episode 11 ~ My Immortal
“I can’t believe I’m having two children,” the news was really starting to hit me and needed to find a seat. Do I really have to start wearing condoms now?
“I can’t believe I’m having one!” Jana was clearly a lot more excited about this than I was.
“You have two as well, Laverne needs a mother.”
“I’ll leave that to your other one.”
Okay, not off to the best start there. Jana is not as much of a team player as Tabitha is but that’s alright, she’s right any way. Tabitha will probably adore playing the role of mom to Laverne, as soon as we can get her back, that is.
“Is this going to be an issue? Do you have a problem with any of this?”
“I will tolerate it. I do think that I am more than enough for you but I understand the kind of man I’m dealing with.”
“Hm.” What could I say to that? She’s willing to tolerate it, that’s good enough for now. Besides, if I had to choose to share a child with her or Tabitha it would definitely be her. Nothing at all wrong with Tabitha but she’s loyal and passionate about me while Jana is still missing that. I have been getting the sense that she’s not been entirely truthful about things but it’s just a sense for now. Unfortunately, my senses tend to be correct more often than not nowadays. “Well, make sure that you two get along and that we all get along. We all want what is best for the clan, after all.”
“Definitely. I’m team Tourneau all the way now,” she claims. I believe her. I do not believe this was always the case and her use of ‘now’ reveals that. I do remember our first interaction as well. I know that she’s wanted to use me all along but I feel that the baby has definitely changed things and in my favor. She’s going to be a lot more cooperative now and perhaps, not so self-serving.
