Lucy flusters. She can feel her face heating, and she’s hit with the immediate desire to turn down the offer and let him go find someone better. But then she imagines him dancing with Josie or Gertie instead, and jealousy wells up in her stomach so fiercely that it makes her feel sick. Neither of them deserve someone as kind as the prince.
