I wasn’t expecting to have to make this a series of posts, but due to the recent news...

It is with deep regret that I must inform you:

Subin is no longer a member of N*White.

Subin revealed she left the group (and J&J Ent.) through these Instagram updates on 160409. I contacted Subin (with a DM that was probably way too long and didn’t make sense in Korean, sorry unnie T^T haha) and asked her if she would like me to convey a message to international fans:

I'm sorry I couldn't protect N*White, until the end.

I'll prepare so that I can continue to do music and future activities.

[Not quite sure what she meant by “until the end”??.. Kind of implies that the group is still a thing...] 

It is not known if Hakyung is still with J&J Ent. If she is, there is a possibility that N*White could return with a new lineup... (Hakyung being the only original member, plus new members) Subin and Hakyung’s IG updates, over the past couple months, have given the impression that they were in the midst of some sort of comeback preparation. As for Soohyun, I don’t know if she’s still continuing with music. However, she updates her IG, occasionally.

Besides being N*White’s capable vocal, rapper, and songwriter, Subin was also N*White’s own PR team! (...since J&J Ent. rarely announced schedule updates OTL) She often dropped hints about N*White’s upcoming activities. It was, and still is, an honor having her follow aenhwaiteu on Twitter (it’s almost been a year! *^*) I’m so grateful for her kindness ♡ Unfortunately, since Subin is no longer a member, it doesn’t seem appropriate to continue translating her SNS updates... :(

Due to the uncertainty surrounding N*White, I am putting aenhwaiteu on a hiatus of sorts... I apologize for having to do this, but I’m honestly just really confused about whether “N*White” still exists... Thank you so much to all of you for following, after all this time. I will return and post updates when I receive any new, concrete information about the members’ future activities. If you have any questions, tweet me or leave a message in the ask~

[INFO] N*White: The Way Things Are Now...

[Note: I intended to share this information with all of you earlier, but I was waiting to see if J&J Ent. were going to issue an official announcement, before I posted. It seems very unlikely that we’ll get a statement, now... since fans who have visited the fancafe, in the past week, have already been able to find out. The timing of this “announcement” is very unfortunate (with Soohyun and Hakyung’s birthdays happening, just recently)... But at this point, I felt like it wouldn’t be fair to withhold the news any longer >_< As international N*White fans' main resource for updates, I sincerely apologize for the delay and keeping you in the dark.]

It is with a heavy heart that I must, and am finally able to, tell you: 

Soohyun is no longer a member of N*White. 

As many of you have noticed, Soohyun was not present for the few activities N*White have had  (i.e. 151120 Sbenu event, 160111 'Moorim School' appearance), and hasn't been as active on Instagram/the fancafe as she previously was, over the last several months (Soohyun has, however, recently resumed using Instagram). I received several messages from various people, filled with genuine concern, asking: ‘Where is Soohyun?’ ‘What happened to her?’ ‘Is Soohyun still a member?’, and so on.

Honestly, I couldn't help but grow worried about the situation, too... No group pictures, not even one mention of Soohyun in like 4 months? Okayyyy..? It all seemed familiarly forboding (like what happened when Lina left T^T), but I defiantly chalked it all up to the members just being busy with comeback preparations, non-serious illness, etc. Unaware of what was going on, the only reasonable response I could provide was: ‘Be patient and wait until we receive news from J&J Ent. or the members.’

Last week, I came across this post written by Jaewoo-nim (a longtime N*White K-fan who has been a great source of help) on 160120 with the title "믿고 싶지 않지만, 가슴이 너무 아프지만...." ("I Don't Want to Believe It, My Heart Hurts So Much..."), on N*White's fancafe. At that moment, I thought: ‘Oh my gosh... please don't tell me this is about what I think it is...’, and my heart began to sink...

Jaewoo-nim sensed how many fans were becoming concerned, so he directly contacted J&J Entertainment to inquire about the group's wherebouts (more specifically, Soohyun's apparent absence). N*White's manager confirmed Soohyun left the group. 

[Sidenote: In the rest of his post, Jaewoo-nim discussed how he became a fan, his interactions with the members, and closes with a wishlist of sorts: winning 1st place on music shows, celebrating their birthdays with fans, holding fansignings/fanmeetings/ concerts, performing at the year-end Gayo festivals, etc. -- things Soohyun/Hakyung/Subin, sadly, never had the opportunity to accomplish , together... I legit started tearing up because it was so heartwarming to see how we, fans from across the world, shared the same (unfulfilled) hopes... T-T]

I asked Jaewoo-nim if he knew any more details about what happened, but he said he didn’t. Still in disbelief, I asked another reliable longtime, dedicated K-fan to seek further confirmation that the news was true. She told me she had actually been in contact with Soohyun, not long ago (initially, she was also unaware Soohyun had left, but after seeing Jaewoo-nim’s post, she reached out to Soohyun), and was able to find out a few more details. This is the information she revealed:

Soohyun left the group approximately 3 months ago due to 'company circumstances’  

N*White still exists (presumably, as just Subin and Hakyung, at the moment), but ‘the company’s circumstances are really bad, right now’ 

It is not known what Soohyun’s future plans are.

The exact circumstances regarding Soohyun's withdrawal from N*White are unknown and what will become of N*White is unclear... Despite this uncertainty, I will continue to support each and every one of the members in their personal endeavors. Please continue to do so, as well!

Soohyun was a legit OG N*White member [I mean, she was even part of the early, original (?) trainee lineup, along with Lina/Yuna in 2012!] She eventually became the group’s leader/main vocal/maknae, and was also responsible for writing lyrics for almost every song N*White have released, thus far. Frankly, it will be very... different... not having her in the group, anymore :(

I hope that we can look on the past with fondness and continue to enjoy the music with which N*White has blessed us with ^^ Hopefully, one day, we’ll be able to see them together, again... For now, all we can do is just wait and see what happens and wish Subin, Hakyung, and Soohyun good luck!

[ADMIN POST] aenhwaiteu Semi-Hiatus: 7/24 - 8/19

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well :)

With N*WHITE releasing their 2nd Mini Album “Paradise” and making their broadcast debuts on all the major music shows, it is a very exciting time to be an N*WHITE fan! To those of you who have been around since “Hello Boy” and earlier, thanks for hanging in there and continuing to support the girls! To all the new N*WHITE fans: welcome! ^^

This is just the beginning of N*WHITE and “Paradise” activities!

…Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how I look at it LOL), I’m going to be on a trip for 3~ weeks (I’m about to leave)… which means I’ll have to go on semi-hiatus. I thought I should post something and give you guys a heads up. As excited I am to be going on vacation/see relatives, the thought of not being able to watch all of N*WHITE’s big first moments during this round of promotions / not providing updates is a little sad? Especially after all those months waiting them to actually start promoting…;__; Since I started this whole “aenhwaiteu” project, I’ve kept it relatively up-to-date. (Okay, maybe not the last week? lolll… Even though I predicted they would come back around the 16th, I wasn’t prepared XD) It’s kind of a bummer to leave everything idle for such a long time :( But don’t worry! I’m determined to NOT be completely out of the loop, so I’ll try to check in and post when I can (Wi-Fi willing!! haha) Hence, the “semi-hiatus” in the title~ 

There is, however, a possibility that I may be able to visit Seoul for a couple of days!!… (as of right now, I’ll only be at Incheon for hours-long layovers between connecting flights T^T) Hopefully, everything works out! :crosses everything for good luck: If I am able to see N*WHITE at an event, I’ll convey all your love and support to them!! Gotta rep the int’l fans ^^

In the meantime, make sure you’re following all of N*WHITE’s/J&J Entertainment’s official accounts to keep up with N*WHITE’s activities. (If you’re not familiar with Korean, I highly suggest using Naver Dictionary/Translator as an alternative to Google Translate. Or better yet, use all to get a better, general understanding~ …It’s what I do!… in addition to more extensive research XD)

I also recommend following @CODENWHITE, a fansite/blog/account which is run by Amy-nim, a longtime and very knowledgeable Korean N*WHITE fan ^^

N*WHITE is returning with new music, shall commence official promotions

[150708] Tracklist from N*WHITE's forthcoming 2nd Mini Album revealed; all songs deemed "fit for broadcast" by KBS; ZigZagNote returns

[Source: KBS Website, Excel file] Thanks to a tip by 혹시라도님 (hoksirado-nim) on the Fancafe, the purported tracklist for N*WHITE's upcoming Mini Album was found on KBS's website.

The "official" tracklist has not been confirmed, yet! However, it is safe to say these will be the songs on the Mini Album [ + the presumed Inst. version of 천국 (Paradise)]. Passing KBS's Song Review process means that N*WHITE can perform the songs on KBS broadcasts (e.g. Music Bank!), and that the songs shall be permitted for use as BGM for KBS programming!

Looks like N*WHITE has teamed up with ZigZagNote, again! Soohyun adds 2 more works to her growing list of songwriting credits (6, in total), and Subin makes her debut as a songwriter?! ^^

[150618/150619/150620/150623] The N*WHITE members share SNS posts implying that they've dyed their hair. Hakyung uploads post on Instagram, including picture with Soohyun; deletes it 10-15 minutes later.

Subin posts black-and-white pictures, a photo taken the week prior, and one taken from an odd angle; she laments how her hair's become "damaged" -- further insinuating that they had all changed their hair.

Q. WHEN IS N*WHITE COMING BACK?

[As of 150630] It is believed that N*WHITE completed both their album jacket photoshoot and MV filming between 150623 - 150629,

TenYard 약속 (Promise) MV || SHINE - 1st Mini Album 2015.04.23 → 2015.05.22 (Digital), 2015.05.26 (Physical) ≈ 4 Weeks

As depicted above, TenYard’s Release Timeline for “Promise”/SHINE was very similar to N*WHITE’s “Hello Boy”/Fairy Tale Timeline. Thus, there is great reason to believe that the timeline for the release of N*WHITE’s new/comeback music and MV will mirror the previous examples. N*WHITE simultaneously completed album jacket shooting and MV filming between 2015.06.23 to 2015.06.29(?)

Therefore, the expected date of release of N*WHITE’s new music and MV could be as early as 2015.07.16, with some time around 2015.07.29~ as most probable. (In the end, it really all depends on how quickly MV production/album printing are finished. In addition, the possibiliy of delays should be considered.)

Hello hello~~!!!

In anticipation of N*WHITE's official broadcast debut (whenever that will be ;___;) and hopeful, impending boost in popularity, I thought it would be a good idea to create an "official" tag for N*WHITE-related posts. Currently, it is a little difficult to search for N*WHITE-specific posts using "N*WHITE" and equivalents, as phrases like "black n white" are quite common... Ultimately, you'll find yourself staring at a menagerie of Tumblr posts, with just a sprinkling of N*WHITE, if you use this tag (Sidenote: As a SECRET fan, I can also recall the fandom facing a similar situation with "secret' being so common; we opted to use "scrt" to tag posts).

Although using "앤화이트" would aid specificity, it's a little inconvenient because you either have to type or copy+paste the hangul. The romanized "aenhwaiteu" would be a good alternative... But when I started this blog, I lacked foresight... and didn't realize how useful this name/tag would be in the future (er, right now) Oops! XD As one of the first, few (only? ;;) Tumblrs for N*WHITE, I guess my utter hijacking of the tag is somewhat appropriate and justified? // :delusional: jk LOL sorry! XD //

In the same vein, I think maybe a combination of romanized 앤화이트 + N*WHITE would work best? Like say, "aenwhite".

Pretty straightforward, right? From now on, I'll be adding "aenwhite" to all future posts, in an effort to make searching for N*WHITE-related things more efficient and easily accessible~ If you're planning to post about N*WHITE in the future, I hope you follow suit! ^^ Let's build that foundation for the N*WHITE fandom and show the girls some support!!!
