What’s your hc on why Sasuke didn’t turn against Obito even though he openly admitted to having taken part in the Uchiha Massacre ? Hope this hasn’t been asked before

This hasn’t been asked before and it’s an interesting question.

One of the main characteristics of Sasuke’s personality, and one of the most misunderstood ones, is that he doesn’t let his personal opinion of someone, affect him when he has a goal. 

Some fans see him as cold and calculating because of this, others see the opposite, that he’s completely ruled by emotions but he’s a rational and pragmatic person who even though he dislikes someone, if they are useful for his goals, he works with them. Sometimes his emotions are so strong that it’s impossible to control them, but it only happens on extreme occasions, otherwise he’s different. Which doesn’t means he’s this cold and calculating, dominating dude some fans see in him.

Back to your question, just like he hated Orochimaru’s evil doings, but he followed him because he could make him stronger, just like he didn’t feel offended by Tobirama talking ill about the Uchiha clan because he needed him to explain why he had such opinion, just like he sided with Konoha when he decided to protect it, even though Kakashi &co had tried to kill him after he had killed Danzo, Obito had taken part in the massacre but he told him the truth about it, about Itachi, so he gave him something important. He gave him a new vision on his brother, or rather, he gave him back his old brother. But it’s not a gratitude thing, although, since you asked my headcanon, I like to think that Sasuke’s pure soul kinda saw Obito that way, at least subconsciously, and most of it all he saw him as another Uchiha, the only Uchiha alive, so he believed him more easily. Headcanon aside, Obito offered him help in avenging Itachi against Konoha, that’s why Sasuke and Team Taka joined Akatsuki. Sasuke knows his strength but also his limits and he knows when to accept help. Obito was part of this.
