Celine had never once thought of the sea as exhilerating before, but as she cut through the water with a stroke of her powerful tail, she couldn’t help but feel something akin to excitement. Diving deep into the depths, the hunter twisted around and shot for the surface. With a delightful laugh, she launched herself into the air, emerald scales glittering in the sun before she dropped back into the ocean with a splash.
Given her new and rather unusual circumstances, it seemed rather logical to make her way to the periphery of Tritora. After all, if she had truly gained the tail of a mermaid, then perhaps she could utilize come of the other unique traits of their kind? Celine was not yet sure if that was the case, but she did know where to find a tutor.
“Taika, dear? Are you around?” Celine called out, popping her head above the surface to see if she could spot the lady assassin in one of their usual meeting places. She did manage to see a familiar figure on the beach, which drew her back to the land. Her shimmering tail melted back into long, shapely legs, and Celine concentrated on not looking like a weak-legged fawn. “Darling, you’ll never guess what happened this morning. I-” She paused as she got closer to the woman. “Are those wings, love?”
