The Original Eight Chosen Children (+ Gennai) as the Fellowship of the Ring.
Hi there! This is just pure fun and based off how I perceive both the Adventure kiddos and the LotR characters.
The mysterious figure who propels the quest forward.
No one knows exactly what or who he is or how long he has been around.
Has a vast knowledge of the past and the events that led to this exact moment.
Wise beyond belief but is not afraid to tell you that you're being an idiot.
"Fool of a Took Taichi!" (Taichi is not actually Pippin, but it fit in nicely)
The unspoken leader of the group.
Both healers in the sense that they bring the group back together after it fractures (Taichi does this twice in Adventure).
Inspires everyone to keep going by lending them courage.
Knows when to seek the counsel of someone else, instead of being the one to decide everything (Koushiro and the cards!).
Cares deeply about his friends and will put his life in mortal danger to protect them.
Will mess your day up if you're evil.
Pretty decent at surviving in the wilderness.
Never backs away from a challenge.
The Black Gate of Sauron? Etemon stuck in some crazy black hole in the sky? Taichi/Aragorn doesn't care. Taichi/Aragorn will charge full speed ahead.
This one was hard, not gonna lie, but Sora will always have Taichi's back, just like Legolas with Aragorn.
The only graceful one in the entire group.
Is not afraid to roast the f out of Taichi/Aragorn just for the memes.
But would still literally follow the Taichi/Aragorn into the pits of hell/caverns of Dwimorberg.
Somewhat reserved, and keeps emotions inside.
Talks to flowers and understands them.
Sharp-eyed and intuitive (Sora would definitely slay with a bow and arrow)
Would bring everyone into Valinor if they could, but brings bff Koushiro/Gimli only AFTER Taichi/Aragorn passes away because they can't leave while he still lives. They have to keep an eye on him.
Would also follow the leader wherever they go.
Fondness for building things = computer programming and building new tech for the Chosen (goggles, phones, etc.)
Doesn't much care for nature or forests. Semi-afraid of trees.
Prefers mountain fortresses built out of stone...AKA secluded office spaces.
Polite but blunt and stubborn, especially when it comes to Taichi/Aragorn.
Develops an ultra-tight bond with Sora/Legolas (I love Koura friendship!).
Appreciates the literal: If Sora were to take out a giant Digimon, it would "still only count as one."
Not one for running anything longer than a quick sprint.
Follows Sora/Legolas into Valinor (gets snuck in) because aftdr Taichi/Aragorn dies, there is no point in staying (Taishiro feels!! 😭).
Listen. Boromir rocks, and Yamato rocks, and I'm not dissing Yamato by this comparison.
Compelled by the strong desire to do good even if it conflicts with the leader's vantage point.
Gets a bad rap for being pensive, thoughtful, and brooding but still tender towards his friends.
Understands the importance of allowing the group to grieve.
Becomes overwhelmed by darkness and gives into it, even if briefly (trying to steal the ring/trying to beat the f out of Taichi).
But! But! He is immediately remorseful of his lapse in judgement and comes back to himself.
Boromir literally gives his life for Merry and Pippin (his friends, ahem ahem, like a certain crest that Yamato bears!), fighting orcs despite being pierced by several arrows.
Boromir's sacrifice is akin to Yamato's decision to leave the group.
And just imagine Boromir's last words to Aragorn (in the movies): "I would have followed you. My Brother. My Captain. My King." as Yamato returning to Taichi during the Dark Masters arc. I HAVE FEELINGS.
Boromir is AWESOME okay? Just like Yama.
Has some notion of common sense.
Fueled by a desire to look after Mimi/Pippin because they're younger.
Wants to fight but few people take him seriously.
Also wants to go home but realizes he is part of something bigger than himself.
Therefore, he keeps going and won't stop until it's done.
Will stick by friends until the very end.
When he fights, he gives it his all.
Brandybucks are known to be fond of boats and even swimming, and although Jou gets seasick, he does have a Digimon partner who is water/ocean based.
Just wants to sit down to six meals a day and sleep in a bed again, thank you very much.
Is very much put out by all the adventure but tries to keep strong.
Sometimes fails at keeping strong and complains: "But what about second breakfast?"
Bffs with Jou/Merry and together they round up an army to help take out the bad guys.
Sometimes makes silly mistakes that are potentially life-threatening.
Has to touch the thing, especially when told not to touch the thing.
When they say they will do something, they do it, no matter how inconvenient.
100000% loyal and sincere.
Carries the burden of darkness, though they never meant for any of it to happen, they still accept the burden.
Because no one else should have to bear it.
Is the light of the group.
Evil is always reaching out to grab them, to pull them away.
Doesn't wholly believe in themselves.
Cherishes Takeru/Sam - "I am glad you are with me. Here at the end of all things, Sam." - HELP MY TAKARI FEELS.
Trusts Taichi/Aragorn beyond comprehension.
Sturdy and sassy when needed.
Longs for peace, quiet, and harmony.
Is the physical embodiment of hope.
Will never leave Hikari/Frodo.
Very distrustful of anything that might potentially be evil.
Incredibly sassy with anything and everything all the time.
Follows Frodo into the depths of Mordor (basically hell/the foundation of darkness) = Takeru following Hikari into the Dark Ocean.
"Come, Mr. Frodo! I can't carry it (the ring) for you, but I can carry you." This has Takari written all over it.
Did I mention they will never, ever leave Hikari/Frodo? Actually crosses the sea to Valinor to be with Hikari/Frodo again.
Will not give in to the powers of darkness.
But will 100% punch evil in the face.
