Im part of Takemon closed species and i, in fact, have one takemon i love but i am considering selling them or voiding them.
For more context in case they havent been talked about them on here: They are octopuss demons that can transform into humanoids. It has a th world but it mostly operates on discord. It is the less passionate cs group i have ever been part of. Everything feels so disingenuous and as if takemon only exist for hoarding and selling. The mods and guest artists just pop adopt after adopt without any care and the whales just keep hoarding.
The discord has 6 channels for auction adopts, and artists can use any channel that is not actively being used. Yes, 6 fucking channels to do auctions. In just the month of October, they did around 62 takemon auctions. That's 2 every fucking day. “Maybe it was due to halloween” well we are at 44 takemon auctions so far in November. And of course, we have a bunch of hoarding whales, one of them has more than 40 takemon (arent they embarrassed to show how many takemon they have in the username? It just screams “i dont have impulse control so i will spend all my money on this dumb species”). This user doesn't even use most them, they just love to participate in the bid wars at this point.
Theres barely anything to work with, lore-wise, the prompts are lackluster and just plain boring. I joined because these lil octopus shits looked cute (they are like baobears or succubuns without being that overpriced) but now I regret spending money on getting one of them. I feel ripped off.
