The Good Cooks Good Crooks paid another visit to the homie Eddie at Tako Cheena to try some of his new menu items. We showed up around 2:00am right before the post-club/bar rush. We didn't know what to expect, but it was definitely worth the trip. We were treated to 3 new items: the pernil & cilantro arepa, chipotle peanut wings, and fried beet nuggets. The wings were dank of course.. who aint fuckin with wings? The fried beets weren't exactly my thing, but that's probably because I don't like beets. But the arepa... the arepa was absolutely delicious. The pork was tender and the flavors were spot on from the cilantro to the pickled daikon. It was so good that we ordered 2nd arepa for further review, lol. As far as arepas go, we'd like to think we know good arepas since we are from Kissimmee, FL. We have been conditioned to what a good arepa should be from any of the local spots on south OBT. So Eddie, thank you. All in all our palates were pleased. Tako Cheena you did it again.
