"I know the number of the sand and the measure of the sea; I understand the speech of the dumb and hear the voiceless."
"Seat yourself now amidships, for you are the pilot of Amphoreus. Grasp the quill fast in your hands; you have many allies in this world."
▌ “Warden of the Great Balance” Justicia
Amphoreus turns beneath her gaze, repeating the same rise and ruin it always has.
From chaos she spoke the first law into being, and preserved the fragile line between order and collapse.
Amphoreus believes her to be its beginning, its guardian, but the stars beyond call her by her true name.
City: Okhema, ?
Divine authority: ?
EHEHEHEHEHEHEEHE IT IS DONE. And FIRST POST OF 2026? LET'S GOOOOO
It's donee
I love her so much.
Here's the full splash art without the background
Honestly turned out so much better than I expected. I had lots of doubts doing this, since the hoyo style can be a bit tricky. I always want to add more details, more shadows, more this and that, when the hoyo style isn't really that complicated at all in terms of shadows/rendering. Imo at least. I guess it's what you'd call cell shading?
Anway, Jien is here in her Amphoreus outfit! Finally! I hope you all like it too!🥹❤️
When 3.4 came out I had a few thoughts about which titans is simulating which path and like most of the ones I was sure about weren't confirmed while the ones I was just like ???? were confirmed so I thought I should share this (keep in mind that everything past this is whatever the fuck I wrote after 3.4 unless it's in brackets)
I'm yapping about the Titans and Aeons and paths here.
Part 1 of my thoughts about Phainon
Continuing that train of thoughts:
So it's confirmed that the titans are simulations of the aeons
Oronyx | Time - Fuli | Remembrance
Cerces | Reason - Nous | Erudition
Thanatos | Death - Hooh | Equilibrium
Zagreus | Trickery - Aha | Elation
I'm gonna point out the obvious and say that Worldbearing is the simulation of the Trailblaze. Which is actually pretty interesting when we think about how Akivili just disappeared and Kephale fell silent. Phainon aka Khaslana is most likely a narrative parallel to us, the Trailblazer, especially since we're supposed to face Nanook at some point.
With the thing that Dan Heng said in his drip marketing for DH Permansor Terrae I'm gonna assume that Georios is the simulated version of Long and the Permanence.
Kephale | Worldbearing - Akivili | Trailblaze
Georios | Earth - Long | Permanence
For Janus I'd take Terminus as the counterpart. Both Janus and Terminus are the names for Roman gods, Janus is the god of passage and Terminus is one who protected boundaries. There is also the fact that the Aeon and Titan are both connected to prophecies and Janus is said to be the first titan to have been 'born' while Terminus has the whole paradoxical reverse time thingy.
Phagousa is a lot harder to pin point in my opinion. Is what I first thought. The rivalry with Georios - the simulation of Long, the Permanence - and the meaning of their name makes it pretty obvious that this is the simulation of Tayzzyronth, the Propagation. For the record, according to the wiki Phagousa can be interpreted as "she who ate"/"she who has eaten"/"she who has devoured"/"she who squanders." Which is a very obvious indication for Tayzzyronth and the whole eating half the universe thing.
(literally no idea why I didn't think of Nihility and IX like oh my god it is so obvious in hindsight)
For Aquila I'm a little torn but mostly leaning towards Ena, the Order. Eye stuff, sky imagery, control, restriction, ect ect I had considered Ena as a possible origin for Talanton too because of the whole control thing. I had also considered Yaoshi for Aquila but ultimately think that Ena is the more likely option.
Mnestia, Titan of Romance, is almost definitely the simulation of Idrila, the Beauty. I don't think I need to explain that train of thought.
Nikador is maybe a simulation of Nanook? Maybe Lan? I'm not sure tbh (I was making blind guesses at this point)
Same can be said for Talanton. I had considered Ena, maybe Hooh idk
Alternatives:
About Georios and Phagousa, while I did say that it's probably Permanence and Propagation, I also think it's entirely possible for it to be Perservation and Voracity. A lot of the paths do overlap a little and Qlipoth and Oroboros do have a similar kind of opposition to another as Long and Tayzzyronth had since Qlipoth has that thing with leviathans and Oroboros is a leviathan.
I was also surprised to see that Zagreus is a simulation of Aha since I personally would've guessed that it was Mythos, the Enigmata. Especially because of Cipher's whole "lying/mental suggestion" thing and the things the History Fictionologist do.
Also about Fuli. Fuli has a thing with mirrors, Idrila has a thing with mirrors. Mnestia is probably named after Mnemosyne, the Greek goddess of memory. Fuli is therefore in my eyes also an option, no matter how unlikely it is. Maybe this is just showing that the paths of Remembrance and Beauty are overlapping to a certain degree.
Within the heart of the Temple Tithemi, a solemn figure watched over the lands scattered about, guiding the people away from the grasps of strife and corruption. With whispered wisdom, they walked unseen, yet felt - an unseen force that soothed the restless and quelled the rising storms of discord. But the heart of the temple had fallen quiet as the black tide swept over the countryside, leaving Tithemi as the last untouched place, and the truth of the Executor of Justice remained a mystery. Ruins mark the place, and others have been forbidden from venturing back through the Gates of Return.
I took a while to come up with a suitable name and such, but here it is finally. I am so happy with how it turned out. The eidolons I did for Jien this summer definitely helped out during the rendering process of this. I am still waiting for the new Amphoreus quests to come out to settle on the lore for Jien, so until then I'll just theorize and come up with multiple little possibilities for her. May yap about it some time soon, stay tuned
I am still hoping to get this animated, I'm just sort of procrastinating at the "find an animator" part.
The oldest stories are written in the stars. Stories before men and Titans, when the world was still enshrouded in the everlasting night. In that swallowing abyss, stars served as the droplets of hope, watching life sprout and live and die in the darkness. Tales speak of falling stars as tears the universe wept for the forgotten, cast away world and the same stars being the reason for Oronxy’s awakening when they jolted awake from the newborn concept of time. The fading silver trail of the star led Oronxy toward the outer reaches of Amphoreus. There, they materialized as the Evernight Veil and henceforth remained afar from humanity, quietly spending their time managing the fabric of time.
Stars within the night are no rare occurrence, although such a sight certainly heralded ill fortune to come, but during the day? A blazing wound in the sky that lasted for days and nights was a sight that sat unwell in the bellies of many. The elders named it not, and the scribes dared not ink its truth. The tear was swallowed by time, vanquished by forces unknown, but Aquila- guardian of the skies- never turned their gaze. Their eye, once free to wander, now lingered still upon the sacred ground of the Temple Tithemi, as if watching… waiting… for what once was to rise again.
By the grace of Talanton, the Temple stood undisturbed, its silence unbroken, save for the presence of a singular upholder of the law. The Titan of Law permits neither favoritism nor injustice, and as such they dealt with the matter in accordance to the laws they created.
Executor of Justice, the stone statue contained within the temple Tithemi cast its cloak of stone for that of skin and flesh for matters presented to the divine law, setting matters right and punishing the ones that transgressed, righting the scales of justice when they had faltered.
When the Heirs of Chrysos set forth on their fated journey to retrieve the Coreflame of Justice, they were met by an unyielding force- the Executor standing resolute in their path. With the weight of duty in her gaze, the guardian would not permit passage without due reasoning, demanding that the Heirs prove their worth before being granted entry. Aglaea, the Goldweaver, was present for the matter, but once the Coreflame was retrieved, the Executor had turned back to stone, consequently being left behind in the abandoned temple for years to come, presenting a sanctuary for fleeting souls seeking words of wisdom from the last guardian of Law.
As the black tide began its slow, relentless crawl across the lands, a wave of fear gripped the hearts of mortals. The people scattered, fleeing in desperate haste from the encroaching darkness, seeking refuge where they could. Yet, amidst the chaos, Temple Tithemi stood as a lone beacon- its ancient walls a sanctuary of light, untouched by the creeping doom. For a time, it was a symbol of hope, a place where the divine law held sway, and the people found solace beneath its hallowed roof.
But now, even that sacred sanctuary succumbs to the tide. The once-immovable stones tremble, and the temple’s towering spires, which once reached toward the heavens in defiance of the storm, are now being swallowed whole. The sacred grounds, once untouched by shadow, are no more than a distant memory, as the tide claims all in its path. What became of the Executor is unknown, lost to time and silence.
Yet Lady Aglaea believes the answer holds great importance for the Chrysos' heirs. She hopes to uncover the truth, knowing it may guide them on their journey.
A/n: Going ahead with posting this small teaser for Jien's story in Amphoreus! This is supposed to be written like a mythos, some vague retelling so not wholly accurate! Which is something I do like to do in my writing when writing Jien from another point of view that isn't her own. I do have such long rambles about her Amphoreus arc and I just need time to write it down so it's coherent and not a word vomit </3 A SMALL SPOILER THOUGh since I can't contain myself - but Mydei will be the one sent to get Jien from the Temple RAAAH
Gotta prais my friend here a little, she wrote me such a great thing for Mydei going in and waking Jien from stone and ugh<3 cheff kiss. I can't wait to share that stuff in detail but I also think it would be better to wait for the next patch story to come out to see what the fuck happens and how exactly Jien will play part into it. I have so many (game) theories about her role I feel like a fan....
