There are so many highlights of what I like to call the "Mimi Cooking event" even tho there's not much actual cooking gameplay unless you count recipe-making as cooking. Enjoy me recounting these events in the most cooked way possible:

• Phainon and his obsession with salads. I struggle to recall if he ever mentioned anything like this before cuz bro we would have known

• Phainon is actually a good cook despite what fandom says lmao

• Really Cerydra, you couldn't have thought of a better name for a salad than 'Cery Salad'? 😭😭 (Is it supposed to be a play on Caesar Salad lol???)

• Anaxa: I don't care for small and tiny flying creatures.

Hyacine: He dog piled on them the second he saw them, don't believe whatever this madman says

• (Does Anaxa just like cute things? Bro might be into plushies)

• We got our first ever theme and it happened because Tribbie outvoted Phainon by a landslide (Phainon's "...Me." made me pause just to laugh and cry 🤣 I felt bad so I voted for his idea)

• Castorice being the judge was not what I expected but she is a well-travelled person, she might have had her fair share of diverse cuisines she's tried out

• Lol ofc Mydei would sign up to be a chef, I'd be surprised if he didn't (bruh he and Phainon immediately started bickering, I needed to leave the room to give them privacy HA) and uh-huh yep kinda saw it coming that he'd clown on Phainon's obsession with salads

• Cipher sneaking in the Memchilin event to eat the food just to eat Trianne's overly sweet dessert 🤣🤣

• PHAIDEI COMPETITION EVERYONE PROCEED WITH CAUTION OR ELSE THEY'LL YAOI ALL OVER UR SCREEN

• Yo why r the mimis picking sides now. Why did these two bozos name two other mimi chefs Fig Stew Mem (Mydei) and Salalalamem (Phainon)?? What even is Salalalamem?? (Nice to see that they're both dogshit when it comes to names lmao)

• Phainon ragebaiting Mydei as per usual

• HAHAHAHA LOL THEY BOTH TIED IN BOTH CUSTOMERS AND IN THE MEMCHILIN EVENT IM DEAD (all cus of Hysilens, ty queen)

• Castorice was so done with them bro I felt bad for her just being forced to try out every single meal they give her that she had to yell it out for them to stop

• Hyacine scolding Phaidei like they're still kids. Found it funny that Phainon readily said sorry while Mydei stayed quiet. When Hyacine forced them to go work in the fields, I went "Girl we're talking about someone adept at farmwork and yanked a literal Titan with his brutish strength, and the other one has ungodly amounts of stamina that he could go on for so long in fights, I don't think this will be too much trouble for them", tho the lesson does end up sticking to them so props to Hyacine lol

• Anaxagorgeous asked to come up with a solution to the lack of ingredients (bc of the two boyfriends), with his solution being: BIG MEANS MANY. Not before he made his students and Trailblazer answer a question about dromas then LAUGHED out of nowhere like a maniac and decided to make bigger crops. This isn't without its trial and errors, with Tribbie questioning wtf is going on with the explosions and shit and even Hyacine being shook (u signed up for this the moment you became his teaching assistant girl lol). After that Anaxa laughed like a maniac, again

• Phainon and Mydei seemingly launched another competition between them to find a vegetable they think is too absurd to be big. Mydei wins when he presents a radish the size of a pot (Phainon's "I lost" cracked me up HAHAHA)

• Anaxa refusing to cut down on producing his large crops like a diva while Cipher's head is peeking out from behind the big ass pumpkins

• Cipher interviewing Aglaea on the restaurant, which includes Aglanaxa shade: Anaxa going "I didn't ask for your input" had me cackling man

• Hysilens would have a good career as a competitive eater, get her in an eating competition with Saber, see what happens

• NO I DONT WANT THIS EVENT TO END CYRENE

• Castocipher interaction??? Omg thx hoyo hehehehe 🙏

• More yuri with Cerysilens, ugghhhh why'd they have to be doomed BRUH

• Not Hyacine exposing Anaxa, bro got caught wanting to take the fairies away 🤣 (he just really likes cute things deep down huh. Is that also why he tolerates Hyacine lol?)

• More Phaidei cuz these two are always together. Such a tender moment between them, then Phainon proceeds to talk about Hysilens' freakish appetite LOL tbf I'd also be freaked out

• I fucking screamed when we returned to the village with Cyrene, I wanted to go back (ofc the restaurant would still be there AND OFC THEY WONT GIVE US SOLID CONFIRMATION THAT EVERYONE WE'VE EVER KNOWN AND LOVED WAS THERE WITH US. WAY TO BE VAGUE JUST TO HURT OUR FEELINGS HOYO)

[Onto the text highlights]:

• Phainon the troll casually saying he put sugar in Mydei's milk (okay that sounds weird but I promise it's not /cope)

• Anaxa beefing with a fairy critic and Aglaea regretting her decision letting him reply to them

• Cerydra and Anaxa duo: Violence is always the answer

• Anaxa just casually always resorting to violence like, SIR U DONT NEED TO THREATEN TO SHOOT SOMEONE TO MAKE A POINT 😭😭

• Mydei isn't any better, forcing people on strict regimens that is guarenteed to wring you dry of your soul

• Phainon is that type of chef that says 'a little bit of salt but not too much'. Bro at least give me the measurements 💀

• Literally the text messages were either "Anaxa and/or Cerydra were feeling extra murder-y that day" or "Phainon the ragebaiter"

WHEW okay there might be some stuff I missed cuz this event is chock-full of great moments so I'll update this later. Maybe lol

[Extras that I forgot but am adding in here]:

• Forgot this gem: Cerydra's throat contracting because of something she ate/drank. Hyacine came to the rescue and says the cause was something to do with excessive laxatives (can't remember what she said exactly oof). Anaxa responds with a classic "Do you have a problem with my invention HM?". Dude is the leading cause for near accidental deaths that you'd be surprised no-one did die

I will forever be grateful to Honkai: Star Rail for giving us the restaurant event, because I laughed and learned so much. Here’s my personal review - which is also a summary (incomplete, though).

Put Phainon and Mydei in a kitchen and you’ll get banter, grunts, rising tension, missing ingredients, and a total loss of dignity. They’ll cook nonstop until the heat makes them lose their clothes (probably) and the new dawn arrives.

Phainon is now an interior designer. Give that man an abandoned building and he’ll turn it into a beautiful home (or use it for… other indulgences, maybe). Also: salads can absolutely be high cuisine if delivered with enough flair.

Mydei, meanwhile, can build a cauldron from scratch in less than a day, cook up meals from thin air, and serve them with a “take it or leave it” attitude that dares you to critique him.

Hyacine is the only mature person present - the voice of reason (which is deeply ironic, considering other persons present). Castorice somehow manages to be both grounding and unsettling. She reviews dishes with poise and grace… while saying increasingly confusing things. I adore her for it.

The fairies were living their best lives. They saw the Chrysos Heirs descend into chaos and said, “thank you for the entertainment.”

And finally - because he was my personal highlight - yes, you can absolutely put Anaxagoras in charge of crops, seasoning, dangerous culinary experiments, explosions, and customer service. You just need to be the kind of person who thrives on risk, sarcastic commentary, and hour-long debates about dromases and the nature of reality. (…it’s me.)
