Magus Rappelz Overview
Today I would like to talk about the core skills that makes Magus’ so OP in Rappelz in terms of the Master skills that open up for them at Master Class.
Red: Your main spam skill. White: Passives that you want to read up on and understand how to improve upon your stats. With the launch of Epic 9.3, we now have 2 extra TPs which makes it 7 instead of just 5. It also gave way to final awakening system which allowed users to get an additional +3 lvls to all skills. The launch of Epic 9.2 introduced Parallel World gear which gave users an additional +1 to a random skill upon identifying the piece. Depending on which active and passive benefits your toon more is completely up to your play style, but for me I find these passives to be the most beneficial. For Magus most go for Cyclone Lord’s Blessing. Blue: Heals that you will use the most. Some are HoT (heal over time) so with those you want to cast every few secs so you always have a heal on. Orange: DoT (damage of time) skills that you should use while spamming.
Angelic Mist will be your main healing skill, while Restoring Purified Water allows you to have HoT as you attack and run around. Healing Gust you will only have access to if you are either a buffer/healer build or you have all 7 TPs. It is the MOST powerful heal the Magus has while also being a HoT. None of the Magus’ heal cancels each other out so you can use them freely.
Tectonic Spike is one of the single most deadly DoT a Magus has at their disposal. There is NO TECTONIC SPIKE SKILL CARD. The only skill card they have for that skill is Earth and Fire. Explosion of Petrification on regular mobs will cast a DoT while also petrifying it, whereas on a boss it only casts the DoT with no petrifying effect (instead the boss will “resist” the effect). Scorching Flame is another high DoT skill which should be included in your spams.
Enchanted Weapon: Earth should be used as the toggle so that you have a random chance to land a poison DoT as you cast your spams. Enchanted Weapon: Lightning is also a good skill since it has a random chance to stun mobs, however this doesn’t work against bosses. Tidal Force is the first TP skill in the third tree you will want to save for your 7th TP if you’re going for a damage dealer build. It opens up the skills down in the tree such as Arcane Swell and Focused Gust. Great for when you’re about to spam a boss since it increases you and your party’s cast speed and attack speed.
Disclaimer: There are a few self buffs and heals that were omitted due to them not being in the Master Class skill tree. I will post an update on those later in the future.
