I’m normally a very ~minimalist person who doesn’t want to buy or own a lot of stuff, but lately I just want to... buy everything??
I’m fed up of all my clothes and want new ones, I’m fed up of the not-working-quite-properly parts of my phone and want a new one (when normally I’d wait til it was literally unable to turn on), and I’ve bought a bajillion plants in the last couple of months.
It’s probs lockdown making me fed up and bored but... argh, capitalism has got me in its grasp! I want more stuff!!
Just wanting to announce that my senior year is starting in exactly two weeks, and I’m trying to do a bit of studyblr content during my last year in class! So, look out for that soon :D
Also, thank you all for over 800+ followers!!!
Something I’ll never forget after learning in school is ‘terrorist’ is a relative term. My genocide teacher asked us what the difference was between the American Revolutionists and Hamas. She told us both are reactions to oppressive regimes, both are violent groups that participated in war, and both destroyed property and killed people. The British most definitely probably saw the American Revolutionists in the same way Israelis and Americans see Hamas. I really miss that class.
Blood and Chocolate
So I just watched “Blood and Chocolate” because @emungere and @damnslippyplanet talked about it on *their* blogs and...
Ok, the movie is objectively bad, with a leading lady how has one facial expression (I call in “no-affect underbite”) and pointless half-assed parkour sequences and ALL THE TERRIBLE YA TROPES.
But...
The thing I really want to know:
This movie is from 2007, right?
Why is everybody still dressed like it’s 1996 and they’re all background extras from ‘The Craft?’
It’s like this movie wanted to be the shape-shifting wolf love child of ‘Romeo + Juliet’ and ‘The Crow’ but a decade after any of those things meant anything to anyone.
BTW...again
I’ve been kinda buried in Hannibal stuff, but I’m not done with Trek.
Just FYI.
In fact I will shortly be putting up a bucket-post on AO3 of my assorted context-free ficlet bits, as well as updating “The Relic” and “Blood, Metal, Ink.”
I’ll keep you posted :)
An evolutionary anthropologist reads their first Omegaverse fic:
Stage 1 - Denial
Stage 2 - Anger
Stage 3 - Bargaining
Stage 4 - Depression
Stage 5 - Acceptance
...plus several days like this:
Prompt Me
So I’m trying to make myself write something everyday.
I’m inviting people to prompt me with things!
You can prompt me with original fiction ideas, if you care to. I do some decent horror, scifi and poetry.
OR...
Prompt me for fanfiction!
Fandoms:
- Hannibal: Hannigram and Margot/Alana, other pairings will be considered case-by-case.
- Star Trek: Any pairing or series (Deep Dish 9 encouraged)
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show. If anybody still does that sort of thing.
You can include whatever additional parameters you like, I’ll include or not at my discretion.
If I get any requests I might toss them into a bucket-posting on AO3, my pseud there is SeymoreSinn if you’d like to vet me first. If you don’t want it posted, tell me in your message.
Ok! Let’s do this!
