3: Aside from being orphaned, Tal’vhenan had a very warm and lovely childhood. He never knew and is still unaware of his true parents, nor does he really want to know since he considers both of his nymph mothers to be the only parents worth respecting. A lot of his childhood was spent traveling with them, as the two nature spirits were inseparable lovers of their own accord and taught him a great deal about loyalty, respect, creativity, and many other qualities he still holds dear to. There were many fond memories to be had as a little boy, but his favorite is the day he first learned to swim on his own. One of his worst memories is when the Nightmare threatened to corrupt his mothers and both of them had to return to the Dream in order to rescue their anchor trees and keep the taint at bay. Tal was alone in their woodland home for a few months, even if it felt like a few days for his parents.
21: Tal has a vast fortitude when it comes patience and rarely loses control of his emotions, always preferring to see the more practical side of situations rather than the imaginative and often mentally-straining perspectives that lead to overthinking and more unnecessary drama. No matter the task, Tal will persist patiently and tirelessly until he sees it finished or his hands can hold whatever the fruits of his labor are. Despite that, once he reaches the end of his wit or his nerves become too thin to hold, all the terrifying hell of a wild savage coupled with a Worgen’s fury will break loose from its chains and wreak unprejudiced havoc. His rage comes quietly at first, a flare of the nostrils and a deathly glare of his eyes - a clenching fist and growing jaws - then an explosive roar fit for shaking the heavens.
28: His greatest fear is the power of the Old Gods. Yogg-Saron, N’Zoth, C’Thun, and especially Y’Shaarj have all haunted his dreams. Through his empowered connection to the Emerald Dream, his sleeping thoughts sometimes wander into the Nightmare which shows him all the dark truth in the horror of the Void. He knows these things firsthand and it terrifies him that the Old Gods manifest power in the simplest things like being angry, doubting himself or others, or feeling pride after doing something great. Above the Old Gods, he is afraid of dying alone or ending up in a place with no one else to be with. Though he’s sometimes averse to people, he truly loves the diversity Azeroth has and never hesitates to admire from afar or sneak in physical appreciation when he has a quiet opportunity to. Tal goes to great lengths to mask his fear, appearing to the unknowing as a stoic face that challenges danger. Even though most of his fright involves sleeping, the horrors of battle sink deep into his bones and stay there until he can find release and relief once the tides of war wash over and away from him.
29: The fears of others are interesting to Tal at the most, not really a topic he would think much about unless they were relevant in a serious situation. He knows that everyone has fears, even people who claim to be fearless or otherworldly courageous. He would never tease someone for their fear, unless it was something trivial like bugs, colors, blood, or some other minor dislike that he thinks they might get over. The only instance that Tal would become protective, to an overbearing extent, is if he loves the person which is a very rare event considering his preference for shirking the duties of commitment for the freedom he loves so much.
