Tam had put a large quantity of elixirs up for consignment a few days earlier.  When sold, he sailed from Level 1 to Level 9 in the Alchemy career.  He has since reached Level 10.

Argus is just a hair away from reaching Level 10 in his career.  Aldous has a bit more to go.  I like that these careers can pick up side jobs at any time the boost performance.  It’s especially helpful when they only work two days a week (Argus in the Appraisal Branch - Aldous works three or four days).
