Honestly out of all the major villains in Teen Wolf, I think the one who should've gotten a redemption arc the most is Monroe.
Her "motive" for this whole war is so weak, it makes no sense why she'd go as far as to kill human teenagers and ally with a man who is proven to have killed his allies repeatedly all because she was stuck under a pile of dead bodies for an hour or two. Like yeah girl, you and every other human in this town? And do you have any idea what Scott, Lydia, Malia, Liam, Kira, Parrish etc etc have done to STOP that from happening?
Several people do tell her bits and pieces but she still has no idea. The Sheriff is the one who gets the chance to show her the truth the longest but she still doesn't waver.... why... exactly...? She was just a guidance counselor.
And i know fear makes people do horrific things and everything, but you'd really think they'd find a better motive for a leader of the human army.
So not giving her a redemption arc just makes her character fall really flat- she's just another psycho stand in for Kate now. And it also misses a really important chance to end the show by doubling down on its theme that if you consistently try to do good you will find friends and allies and healing
