3. the tamarind was given to me by someone after dinner, in early January after a conversation we had about my family tree book in Korea. there was a communal meal being prepared that day, and someone had brought a box of tamarinds. 

4. i used the stem to trace over each line, branching out from one root to the next. 

5. it's a representation of how i view my family tree book, and the tradition of Jokbo (family genealogy book) being passed down through generations. 

6. the stem was something that allowed me to physically sense and trace back what a tree branch feels like in my family genealogy book, and I plan on keeping it as a memory of that experience.

3. este tamarindo foi-me dado por alguém depois do jantar, no iní­cio de Janeiro, depois de uma conversa que tivemos sobre a minha árvore genealógica na Coreia. Uma refeição comunal estava a ser preparada naquele dia e alguém tinha trazido uma caixa de tamarindos.

4. eu usei a sua rama para traçar cada linha, seguindo raíz à raíz.

5. É uma representação de como vejo a árvore genealógica da minha famí­lia e a tradição de ‘Jokbo’ (livro da genealogia familiar) sendo transmitida de uma geração à outra.

6. A rama foi algo que me permitiu sentir fisicamente e identificar como é que um ramo de árvore se sente dentro do livro genealógico da minha famí­lia. Pretendo manter esta rama como uma memória desta experiência.
