Have you ever tamed a wild animal?
Yes, more than once
Yes, once
No, but I've tamed a stray
No, but I've had some one-off close wild animal encounters
No, I've never even got close enough to a wild animal

“I get why we can’t have horses in Fallout games (game/engine restrictions). But whenever we do get mounts, why limit ourselves to horses? Make it a quest! Tame a moose, mutant goat, radstag, giant ant!”
Fallout Confessions
Not the best shot but I finally got around to taming Thorne’s bunnies!
You can tell how impressed I am with myself without even seeing my face.
(had to pause mid-mount to preserve the footage)
Even if you put a heart into this, it goes slowly.
other lives - taming animals
I'm just saying but guys. Guys. You do realize that dogs exist because IDK how many years ago, someone saw a wolf, and decided to tame it? They knew it could be dangerous. They didn't care. The gain far outweighed the risks. A loyal companion that cares nothing for what you look like or what you do, so long as your treat it right. A guardian to defend you when you can't defend yourself, a shoulder to lean on when you're feeling down. A friend that will be with you until the day you die, living in the best protection and safety that you can offer.
We wouldn't have dogs if some ancestor however many years ago looked at a wolf, and thought to themselves, "Yes. Yes, I will train you. I will tame you. I will shelter you from pain and fear. You will be mine. And we will walk the halls of history side by side."
Parrots, falcons, eagles, finches, sparrows, cats, mice, rats, ferrets, weasels, cornsnakes, boas, dogs, foxes, chinchillas, pigs, sheeps, cows, chickens, guinea pigs, hampsters, donkeys, ducks, geese, horses, buffalo, silkmoths, pigeons, doves, yaks, camels, turkey, goldfish, beta fish, fish, rabbits, canaries, koi, hedehogs, sea monkeys and an uncountable amount of others.
If someone wants to start domesticating monkeys, as long as they're treating the animal the way it deserves, and making sure that no harm will come to it or its offspring, and ensuring it is getting the proper nutrition, then why the hell not? Someday, our grandchildren's grandchildren could e walking down the street with monkeys riding on their shoulders, or otters strolling at their side. They could be bringing pet alligators to show-and-tell, or going to the pet store to pick out their new ocelot kitten as a birthday present, or playing in the pool with their capybara.
Symbiotic relationships have to start somewhere. Can you even imagine what the world would be like without pets or livestock?
We All Were Vegetarians Once...
We All Were Vegetarians Once…
And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.
