A flavorful one-pot pasta dish featuring linguine, Italian sausage, tangy tomatoes, and briny capers, cooked in a savory broth until perfectly al dente.
Ingredients: 8 ounces linguine pasta. 4 Italian sausages, casings removed. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 onion, finely chopped. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 can 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes. 2 tablespoons tomato paste. 2 cups chicken broth. 2 tablespoons capers, drained. Salt and pepper to taste. Grated Parmesan cheese for serving. Fresh basil leaves for garnish.
Instructions: In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, saut until softened. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chicken broth, capers, salt, and pepper. Add linguine pasta to the pot, making sure it's submerged in the liquid. Cover and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until pasta is cooked al dente and sauce has thickened, stirring occasionally. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
