Tanks are too much fun
Tank problems: When the DPS run off to the next destination while the mob is still at near full HP.
I ran the MM/Vet mode weeklies on my Shadow Tank and man, GF PUGs were just /weird/.
In one MM HS run the queue gave us three Shadow Tanks and a Sage healer who idk that they did any healing at all? But also they didn't functionally DPS, but also they had augmented 306 set gear so ???
In another (also MM HS) the entire FP was narrated by a Gunslinger -- who did 0 DPS and just kinda jumped around -- getting progressively more drunk and making more typos as we went along that was Very into the fact that I actually use my baby CCs as the Tank
And in the final weird MM HS PUG of the night, level 65 guardian in 228 green gear that would not let me tank. Pulled all the trash. Pulled adds into larger pulls. Broke CCs. Got Yeeted by the final boss and ran back with a dozen adds behind him. Complained when I won the Need roll on the Tank Set piece.
Also, vet mode Athiss final boss went like this:
Me: "hey healer, you will need to watch for and clense crushing affliction because it hits really hard against non-tanks. It's a green debuff."
Healer: "ok."
They did not. Nor did either DPS use their own clense. SIGH.
Joined a new guild to have actual people online. Having about 20 people on is better than 4-5 in my guild that had been on the decline since Cata.
I tanked 2 regular mythics and a +2 (made the timer) on Saturday . Last night we wiped for over an hour on the three witches. The group couldn't make the DPS check. I was top DPS on a boss, and I felt like I was the only one kicking. It was a trash fire.
My meds keep me from some of my more pissy moments from raiding. Being the GM and/or main tank of a 25-man raiding guild since BC is frustrating; sometimes you just have to call the raid a bunch of oblivious, dumb-ass bitches-- or worse-- when people won't stop standing in the fire. I was calm, and didn't bitch out mediocre dps or break anything: improvements.
I just wish I had some competent DPS that were willing to go with me and my pocket healer bitch.
Don’t you hate it when you get a healer who pulls half the dungeon if you stand still for 0.2 seconds to make sure everyone is with you and when you ask them to stop they say this, because I sure hate it.
I wasn’t pulling big because it was maybe my third time tanking snowcloak and the dps had both said they were really laggy, and the healer did not approve of that apparently. And even though they wanted big pulls, they couldn’t handle them because I came so close to death whenever the pulls were big and only shadow wall saved me. By the final boss I didn’t trust them to keep me alive, it’s a miracle we won first try considering we’d already wiped to the first boss because of them.
My reef tank was a little cloudy, so I put some carbon in, but that made it MORE cloudy? The pics are after having carbon in overnight. Nothing seems to be affected by it - though the mollies’ poop is black. I removed the carbon and put a poly-filter in, I guess we’ll see if it clears up. I’m not sure what caused the initial cloudiness though??
DONT FUKKEN PULL STUFF ESPECIALLY IF THE TANK IS STILL FIGHTING STUFF UR DUMB ASS PULLED LIKE 10 SECONDS AGO
Green hair algae is taking over my tank....again. The never ending battle is...well...never ending
