An original WWII Sherman tank track left behind in the Hürtgen Forest.
It's located on the Kall Trail, a narrow route connecting Vossenack and Schmidt. On 3 November 1944, a regiment of the 28th Infantry Division advanced along this trail during the attack on Schmidt.
The initial assault succeeded, taking the Germans completely by surprise and securing the vital town.
However the Kall Trail proved wholly unsuitable for reinforcement, resupply, or evacuation. Isolated from the rest of the division, the 112th Infantry Regiment was all but destroyed.
This tank track was most likely laid down to strengthen the trail itself. A small, improvised solution to a problem that could not be fixed.
Yes, it's me again. What am I doing posting stupid things at 3 am? Never mind, what matters is that I drew Tajima for the thousandth time today and strangely enough, I liked it. I translated the meme so that it would be understandable. Also, it reminded me of a really good meme (I made it with Butsuma and Tajima)
