For all those fans of the Kane Chronicles, like me, here's something else: Do you know those Biblical stories? I recently discovered your series, they are Brazilian but I think they can be seen in English, and I haven't seen much, but I love it, apart from the fact that I'm not "religious" the stories, the actors, the costumes, the background impress me … I've seen a bit of moises and the ten commandments, sandon and delilah, and joshua and the promised land but the one that I recommend the most for fans of Egypt is the miniseries of Joseph of Egypt

Scene 3: Revenge

Merit found her little sister asleep. Ankhesa was lying on her bed, while Merit watched her from a distance. She was still a child, fragile as a flower. Merit’s heart was breaking when she remembered what happened to her. She was glad that Ankhesa wasn’t alone. On her bedside sat their cousin Sitra, a dark beauty. While their aunt Lady Mut and her other daughter Tany prepared some medicine. Merit stepped closer.

Merit: It’s so good to have you and your daughters here, dear aunt.

Mut: We have no choice. Your husband keeps us here to secure my husband’s loyalty on the battlefield.

Merit: I know. But it’s for Ankhesa. How is she?

Mut: Better and worse. At least, she ate something today. Poor child. I still refuse to believe what Pharaoh did to her.

Merit: It wasn’t his idea. His lover, that Pany, told him to take Ankhesa for his wife.

Mut: But why? I thought he prefers the company of men.

Merit: He does. But our throne will only be safe if Semenkhare gets a son of his own.

Mut: But you are his Great Royal Wife. You are older than Ankhesa.

Merit: But I can’t bear any more children. And she’s the only girl of royal blood left.

Mut: Your husband is a monster! When he tried to kill Tutankhamun, I wasn’t able to do something. But now with Ankhesa, I won’t close my eyes anymore. We need to do something.

Merit: We will. Tany, Sitra. Please take Ankhesa to her bath.

As the girls were leading the young princess outside. Merit stepped closer to her aunt.

Merit: We will kill him.

Mut: You can’t kill a pharaoh. That’s a sacrilege.

Merit: He is no true pharaoh.

Mut: But how will you do it?

Merit: How will we do it, you mean. Tonight we will dine with Semenkhare and Pany, and I guess they like their wine with a bitter taste.

Tanystropheus was a piscivorous reptilian from the Triassic that lived in wurope and the middle east. It measured at about 3 meters long, it's neck made up half that length. It had short front limbs accompanied by longer back limbs, an adaptation likely to help counteract the imbalance of having such a long neck. Along with this, the muscles in the back half of the tanystropheus' body were quite compact compared to the lightweight build of its front half. It is believed that tanystropheus did not possess much lateral movement in the neck, and the epaxial musculature would have been underveloped, meaning driving force of the neck was mostly held in the dinosaurs back.  In my depiction of the creature, I have used a reconstruction of a skull by Wild, I believe (exemplar Q seen here pterosaurheresies.files.wordpr… ) So it's a little non-traditional to what I've seen for tanys.  Here I tried to show the difference between males and females, females being smaller and duller in color than their male counterparts, though this is just one of my many ideas on how they looked in life. I also went for less of that sprawled out poster, I took a lot of inspirations from the Galapagos marine iguanas for the coloring, and crocodilians for the "trotting" posture. I don't know how well these work with tany but I was taking some creative liberties. Feel free to give critisisms.
