Björk Guðmundsdóttir;( born 21 November 1965) is a singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, and DJ. For just over 40 years in her career, she has developed an eclectic and original musical style that draws on a range of influences and genres of music. She started as a member of the band The Sugarcubes after the band split she started a solo career. Björk was well received and found much success with her “quirky” music, videos and fashion. I knew who Björk was throughout the ‘90s in high school. I liked her array of visually stimulating music videos music and found her music interesting. In 2004, my friend was more familiar with her music and gave me a solid rundown of Björk’s career so I could be more familiar with her music. I eventually did my own work. Björk has received a number of Grammys for her work in music. She has composed music for films and works in visual arts and fashion. Björk is an eclectic and eccentric artist that is always taking things in a new direction.
