It affects everyone’s life whether you’re a victim of it or pursuing. Close to 90 percent of murders and violent crimes occur in low-income areas and nearly half of Chicago homicide victims are under age 25. Frankly Yours wants to provide opportunities for our youth to value life and have hope for their future. We are in the process of developing new techniques to decrease violence and give our youth a purpose for their life. We are currently fundraising for a community center to open in the future providing a place where kids can be just that, kids. We want to create summer sports camps, leadership development, and encouraging different art platforms to be a distraction from destruction. Providing them with our trained volunteer mentor will allow for our youth to be guided in the right direction.
