Logan's Run (Redux)

Doomed & Stoned's tribute to the psychotronic sci-fi classic Logan's Run (1976), directed by Michael Anderson (1920–2018), who started his career early on with a production of George Orwell's 1984. The futuristic score featured in the film was by Jerry Goldsmith. who just a few years earlier had composed the jarring score to Planet of the Apes (1968).

For this redux, we've worked on bringing out the basic narrative of the film, pairing it with a power-packed doom metal and stoner rock selection by Beastmaker, Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard, Space Witch and much more.

TARLUNG - Axis Mundi

Pour les fans d’EyeHateGod, Crowbar, Weedeater, Iron Monkey, Dopethrone, Thou, Grime, le trio TARLUNG formé en Autriche fin 2013 a toutes les qualités requises pour faire suinter les oreilles expertes du sludge.

Fort d’une discographie débutant avec l’éponyme opus “TarLung” en 2014 aux studios DeepDeepPressure, suivirent l’E.P « Void » en cassette en 2016, Les opus « Beyond the black Pyramid » (2017) via le label Black Bow Records de Jon Paul Davis du groupe Conan, "Architect » (2021) avec un Split E.P avec le groupe de noise KRPL de Graz. Voici enfin ce 8 titres « Axis Mundi » via Argonauta Records (en disque vinyle, CD et sur les plateformes numériques) enregistré en 2025 aux studios DeepDeepPressure, avec une pochette réalisée par Alex Eckman-Lawn.

Composé de Rotten – guitares, Philipp Seiler – guitares et chant, Marian Waibl – batterie, il faut rajouter pour cet opus la basse additionnelle de Lukas Haidinger et les chœurs additionnels de Thérèse Lanz et Casey Rogers sur « Sea of Drowned Souls ». Le son dense et colossal du power trio anoblit cette déflagration bestiale, avec un accordage aussi bas que se portait un baggy, une batterie percutante, un chant guttural faisant couler le pue dans un instantanée dévastateur, et surtout sur un groove au jus deathtalique.

Dans ce chaudron féroce et animal la fumée des Marshall inonde une bande de frangins unis par l’acier trempé, les sévices de l’existence avec comme unique repli une musique envoutante, irascible, lieu de bestialité primitive de réclusion cathartique. Il a surtout mis en fusion son sludge avec un doom atmosphérique, avec des étendues de contemplation au sein de son chaos, ce qui provoque un contraste plus subtil pour revenir avec une brutalité encore plus viscérale.
