Amy Rose, despite the very anglicized name, is a very well-off girl raised in a traditional Japanese household.

Being adopted from overseas, she grew up indoors reading old Japanese novels from her mother's carefully-cultivated library, and practicing various activities such as flower arrangement and tea preparation.

Tarot cards were something she got into thanks to her older cousins as soon as they started junior high. Having a natural sixth sense, Amy's simple tarot readings were much more than that of her cousin's fortune-telling, but not knowing she was adopted at birth, she wouldn't know that.

After all, everyone can sense spiritual energies, right? Isn't that why her cousins always tried to scare her with old dolls in weird places?

High Priestess Reversed, The World Upright...

When she was a kid, she assumed that it meant she'd meet her fated lover at Never Lake. He'd be the quiet, cold type that repressed his feelings, and she'd wonder if it was a mistake to cling onto him, but then, pursuing him faithfully, she'll find an answer to her life...! It was just like the shoujo manga she sneaked home from her school's library. If she marries this wonderful boy, she'll get everything she ever wanted. She'd never be bored again, she'd know what she'd want, and everything would be exciting everyday when she's by his side!
