Jane x Megara doodle page!! Cuz this was the second winning result on the poll about my Disney Yuri ships./lh
In this AU where they meet, it would be a time travel situation (just to switch things up a bit) where Jane somehow travels to Ancient Greece due to some magic she accidentally encounters, and she meets Megara while wondering atound and trying to find out where she is. Despite the two having a bad impression and a rocky dynamic from basically the first time they meet, Megara agrees to secretly house her (not telling anyone where she is) until she can find a safe way to where she apparently needs to be (which is her realm in the future.)
While Megara is housing her, they continue to bicker, but they start getting along as they're forced to work together, and slowly fall in love with one another. At some point, Megara is forced to take her away from where Hades is because he finds her, and she lets Hercules help house her/hide her.
During the final part of the story though, Jane jumps in to help, and.. actually tries fighting Hades and the titans alongside Hercules. She manages to somehow survive most hits thrown at her, but she gets REALLY determined when Megara dies—and forces her way into the Underworld rather than directly asking, not really thinking about taking Hercules due to how focused she is on getting her back, and bexause shes not made of pure strength or sheer divine aura, she uses her smarts to get Megara's soul back—and uses something Hades had as a tool to release her. She eventually escapes with her, makes Hercules and the Olympian Gods put Hades in his place, and afterward—the portal back to her home eventually shows up. But she decides she wants to stay with Megara, above all else—so after telling her father where she is, and him accepting her happiness (maybe they even find a way for her to sometimes visit)—she permanently lives in Ancient Greece, with Meg as her lover (and eventual wife).
Meg also teaches her Ancient Greek, while Jane teaches her Older English. And Meg calls her 'Adventure Girl' as a nickname due to always seeing her carry around a map (that Meg doesnt really understand or know the locations of).
Also, Jane still knows a lot about animals, so she teaches Meg about it—who absolutely adores hearing her info dump (and calling her 'animal girl' as another nickname at times). Meg also tends to tease her, or trick her as a way of affection—though she sometimes uses her intelligence to benefit Jane, or help her with something.
Also, their ship name to me is TrappedExplorer.
