#Repost @akashanandh ・・・ 49% illuminated First Quarter Moon. Shot through clouds last night using my iPhone6 hand-held over the eyepiece of a Celestron 11" telescope at our #TASOS public viewing session at our neighborhood Community Centre. It was a real joy as we set up 6 scopes and showed children and other members of the public the skies and spoke to them about astronomy and science. Cloudy conditions meant we mostly focussed on the moon. Tasos was once an ambitious diviner who dreamt about going on adventures and making a name for himself. He found a party, befriended them, and his little group became rather popular. Life was good until he foresaw the death of his entire party, excluding himself. Like most other diviners, he rushed to alter the future, only to fail spectacularly. Since then, he dropped out from the adventuring scene and became rather withdrawn. He thought his power was a curse, for fate could not be altered. He even developed a theory centered at this concept. However, his theory was ridiculed by other wizards, and in an attempt to prove himself right, he used his method to foretell the future. But it was no grand secret he glimpsed, only his death. It seemed that he still had one last adventure to go- one that he would meet his doom.
