But one thing about Los Angeles is that it was tasteless, and that is freedom because it has no barriers. Being an atheist is not an excuse to be a tasteless jerk. It’s not carte blanche to see how many people you can offend. It’s not an excuse to engage in the worst behaviors towards theists and religious people.
Being offended by your tastelessness doesn’t mean they’re not an atheist, it means they’re a decent person who cares about others in the world.
If all you care about is your lack of God, then you’re missing the point that you can be GOOD without one. Except in your case, you’re not being good. You CAN be good without God, it doesn’t mean you automatically ARE good, or that not having a God MAKES you good. (The same with theism, actually.)
Remember, it’s supposed to be Good Without God. So do good.
