This Asian-inspired garlic sesame noodle salad is a healthy, simple, and delicious side dish that pairs perfectly with any Asian meal. It's packed with flavor from the garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, and ginger, while the shredded carrots and cabbage add crunch and freshness.
Ingredients: 200g whole wheat spaghetti noodles. 2 tablespoons sesame oil. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. 1 tablespoon honey. 1 teaspoon grated ginger. 1 cup shredded carrots. 1 cup shredded cabbage. 2 green onions, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the spaghetti noodles until they are al dente. After draining and rinsing with cold water, set the food aside. Put sesame oil in a small pan and heat it over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about one to two minutes, until the garlic smells good. Put soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and grated ginger in a small bowl and mix them together with a whisk. Put cooked noodles, garlic that has been sauted, shredded carrots and cabbage, and sliced green onions in a large bowl. Pour the soy sauce mix over the noodles and mix them well by tossing them. Add pepper and salt to taste. Before you serve the salad, sprinkle it with toasted sesame seeds. Have fun!
