I needed to get some more Starbound out of my system. I’ve been thinking lately about how much it must suck to be a member of a species who lost their homeworld, only to then lose the second planet you settled down on. It really messes with Tatzel...  As for the pic, I know it’s been done to death but I wanted the whole ‘under everything she’s still a prone creature of flesh and blood’ tasteful nudity look.... Except is she? Bonus symbolic wingsfins and shiny thing! Being imbued with 1/100000000000000th of a god gets confusing.

My (Tatzel’s) starbound crew! They’re organised in the rough order I hired them, also bonus big gar-looking fish monster I caught who’s getting an aquarium on my ship<3

Kaori (pink) is a chemist who actually does a pretty good job shooting Tatzel with adrenaline at the first sign of trouble hah. She’s probably the main person who comes along on missions. I’m in love with her big round nose<3

Shinobu (green) is an engineer who I legitimately thought was a female for the longest time. Turns out they’re not, or at least, sex-wise. Regardless, my ship no longer uses fuel it’s become just that efficient. So carry right on, Shinobu!!

Afangi (pinkish floran) is my medic! He’s uh.... pretty useless honestly........ But he’s so friendly and cute and urghhhhh. Maybe he only knows floral medicine for florans.

Ichiro (purple-black) I may have been paid to kill this guy and then stolen him instead. He’s guilty of SOMETHING and he’s pretty good with a sword for a spindly nerd. Suspicious. He’s chill though.

Fish (big) it big. I like it.

Tatzel and some of her capture pod pets! I wanted to do something in the vein of the illustrations of native animals on her old home planet!

She has a few more pets including an actual honest to goodness cat, but these are the most used ones! 

We have Ghidorah, named after king gidorah because multi-headed dragon bird, who is the BEST MOST USEFUL pet<3 The lumoth, handy flying lamp and slayer of the Bone dragon (sick a lumoth on it, trust me), the elusive and mouth-breathing fluffy Oogler<3 The Also Very Useful kluex temple golem-guard, and the teeny tiny brightly glowing marshmallow that lives in the captain’s cabin<33

Beat the main storyline of Starbound tonight!!! Do any of you remember Tatzel from 2 or 3 years ago? Probably not but I couldn’t forget how much fun I had playing as her in the beta version of the game- So I had to do my first official release play through as a re-creation of her. <3

I picked up the wing item right before the end-game and I mean hey, the codexes talk about retractible fins and fast physical adaptation in Hylotl. Let’s call them fins. Good. eue
