She was simply an accident, the result of their lack of minds and assumptions it was possible. But he couldn’t blame her for this predicament. The story of his changing and unlife was an accident as well. However, it doesn’t change the fact that she’s welcome by sunlight, so happy in its rays and he is… Mornings were difficult. Irys always woke with the sun. Cried and cried, desperate for his touch and not stopping until she received it. The newborn was always given his close care, but Mint had forgotten to take the crib away from the window and now she’s locked in the sunlight. He couldn’t touch her, hold her without getting burned. But she keeps crying. His little girl keeps crying and the sound is as heartbreaking as her mother’s tears. Just one moment to take her would be enough and then she would be in his arms. A slither of pain by a slither of sunlight. It was worth it for her and the sobs to desist. A frown didn’t suit her beautiful little face, rosy cheeks, and eyes so similar to his own. Astarion extends a hand out, testing the scorching waters of the light. It doesn’t immediately take, but he feels a singing on his skin. With a grit of pain, teeth clenched and face contorted, he makes his way to her and lifts her up, bringing her back to the darkness. As soon as the warmth dissipates, he stands with her, cooing and quiet in the shadows. It hurts so badly, he’d avoided the light since the docks. His skin peels off in flakes from his face like gold paper off a vase. His child shouldn’t have to see this. It was monstrous—abhorrent. And yet… He still and opens his eyes as her small hand reaches up and touches his chest, her own eyes wide as she inspects his face. Irys is curious. She doesn’t recognize the frown on her father’s face. He hides it and smiles at her. “I’m fine, love. There’s no need to be fussy over me.” He pulls her close and kisses her forehead, a small fracture of himself falling on her cheek. “It’s alright. Hush.”

Irys was an accident made around a year after the events of BG3 so Astarion and Mint hadn’t found a cure for his sunlight yet.

😌 The Rock AU is alive and well. Astarion’s band is comprised of his adopted siblings (Aurelia on bass, Leon on vocals, and Petras on drums while he is guitar). A legendary rock band known for their bloody and dark aesthetic, SPAWN has ruled the charts for decades. That is, however, until a NEW band tops them 👀 (yes, it’s Mint’s band).

In my mind, their sound is very close to Whitesnake, Billy Idol, and KISS. A bit glam, a lot of showmanship, but far more soul than a lack of substance. This album is called Prey Drive ❤️Thank you to @lemonydenz and @radio.cola for the title idea MWAH.

I made all his tattoos myself from royalty free clip art. Stars near his heart, bat wings on his hips, and a daisy near his ribs 🌼

I am not immune to vampire propaganda, namely the newest version with the Danny Elfman soundtrack. Massive fan of his work, this love theme hit me like a fucking brick! So this is a remake of a screencap from the lovely film ❤️

Although they’re in my usual ascension outfits for them, this is Dracula universe. He is NOT sacrificing 7000 souls, he is simply long haired and depressed because his wife died 😔
