So I'm probably not the first one to mention this but I simply love the fact that the bad batches in case of emergency self sacrifice plan is titled plan 99. At first glance it sounds like it's a simple play on there name but what I think is that it's a tribute to none other than the selfless self sacrifice of the very first modified Clone trooper 99 himself (even though he was a failed version)

THE BAD BATCH SEASON 2 EPISODE 12 SPOILERS!!

crosshair, baby...

i feel like his arc was way too underdeveloped at first but i immediately rewatched episode 3 after this episode and now im just realizing how much they jam packed into these two episodes. like the amount of internal conflict u can see in crosshair, in just his fucking eyes is astronomical.

you can just feel the regret in his eyes. the anguish and frustration with himself and the system. he thought he was doing the right thing, he thought he was being a good soldier

like you also have to consider crosshair's upbringing. hes so much colder and closed off than his brothers, you can only imagine the kind of values and negative self talk thats been drilled into his brain, probably more than the rest of the batch. 'your only purpose is to be a good soldier, youre worth nothing more, and even then you cant do it right youre defective.'

literally everything about this episode broke my heart into a million pieces. i genuinely thought he might die during the avalanche, he'd have some epiphany and admit something to mayday before. im so glad he survived though. FINISH THE ARC LIKE HE DESERVES!!!
