This right here sums up the whole weekend. After a lot of years of hanging onto the dream of enjoying cross country, and more recently starting to believe maybe it really was a thing of the past, all that rebuilding of that castle in the air finally paid off. The tears, the broken hearts, the frustrations, the willingness to keep starting over, suddenly they were all worth while. This little grey mare with the most amazing name helped me start to believe in myself again. Thank you to all my amazing friends all across the country that have repeatedly encouraged me, helped pick me up and probably wondered how long I'd keep beating myself up with dreams that seemed like maybe they should be put away. Today as we crossed through the finish flags I wanted to go right back out at the next level up, and the next and the next, it was that much fun!
