Book Sejanus - Carrying some big clock or object as a favor to one of the professors at the academy and saying “Always an honor to be of service” to Coryo about his actions , while Coryo thinks of him as annoying and thinks of Festus as his best friend

Meanwhile movie Sejanus WTF did you say about me Festus you b- “And you made it to graduation we are both shocked” “Nobody really likes my father , but they do LOVE his money, you know what that’s like don’t you Arachne ?” while Coryo stands there and smiles in a supportive manner and it’s implied they’re totally besties even before that scene.

Ain’t no way Sejanus is the same person in book vs movie. Or Coryo tbh but Croyo and Lucy Gray are still close to their book versions, just a bit different, while Sejanus is an almost new person. Like it’s Sejanus’ older brother not Sejanus.

I love that the movie portrays Snow as the love-struck school boy in the scenes right after Lucy saves him in the arena. He is most in love with her in those moments because in his mind they have a common goal: keeping him alive. And him asking her if it's real is actually asking "Do you really value my life more than your safety? Because I also value myself more than anything else."
