After several days had been granted for the realm’s nobility to arrive, rest, and recover from their journeys by sea and road alike, the call was finally made for all honored guests to assemble within the Great Hall of Dragonstone. Hewn from black basalt and warmed by the ever-present breath of the Dragonmont above, the hall hummed with low conversation as banners stirred in the torchlight. When the murmur at last faded, King Aegon Targaryen rose from his seat, the presence of the Conqueror alone enough to still the room.
Tall and solemn, the king stepped forward, his gaze steady as it swept across the gathered lords and ladies of Westeros. Behind him, the sigil of the three-headed dragon loomed large, its crimson form stark against the dark stone.
“My lords, ladies and lieges as well as my esteemed Dornish guests,” Aegon began, “I thank you for answering my summons and for crossing land and sea to stand here today. Twenty decades have passed since the Iron Throne was forged, and in that time, the realm has known a peace and unity unseen for generations. Where once there were several warring crowns, there now stands one realm: bound not only by fire and conquest, but by law, order, and shared purpose.”
His eyes lingered thoughtfully on the gathered banners. “The dragons brought Westeros together, but it has been your oaths, your governance, and your willingness to endure change that have allowed this reign to prosper. Roads have been secured, borders held, laws tempered, and the realm made stronger for it. For this, you have my gratitude.”
Aegon inclined his head slightly. “This gathering is called not only to honor that success, but to reaffirm it—to remind us all that unity must be renewed, and loyalty publicly spoken. You are welcome on Dragonstone, as honored guests of the Crown, to celebrate my nameday and the enduring strength of the Dragon’s reign.”
With that, the king stepped back, giving the floor to the man at his side. The Hand of the King, Ruling Lord Loras Tyrell moved forward, hands clasped behind his back, ready to address the assembly and formally announce the ceremonies and festivities that would follow At the same time, far above them, the distant rumble of dragons echoed through the stone like a promise… or a warning.
TheConqueringhq EVENT I: "THE COVENANT OF THE IRON CROWN"
Date & Location: Dragonstone, 20 AC
To mark twenty decades since the forging of the Iron Throne and celebrate King Aegon’s fiftieth nameday, the Crown summons the all the nobles of Westeros to Dragonstone for an unprecedented convocation. Dorne is also invited as an esteemed guests, sparking hushed whispers of what their presence could possibly signify. This gathering is equal parts celebration, spectacle, and reminder: unity was born in fire, and it is fire that still guards it.
Below are the official activities open to attending characters during the first event:
The Oath Reaffirmation Ceremony
All houses are called to publicly reaffirm their fealty before the King.
Each house must also present a gift of their choosing : offered both as a nameday tribute and as a symbolic token of loyalty to the Iron Crown. Weapons reforged into ceremonial pieces, ancient banners, rare goods, etc will be presented by a representative of each House in front of Aegon.
What is given (or withheld) will not go unnoticed.
2. The Flight of the Dragons
On the second day, nobles are gathered along Dragonstone’s cliffs or aboard anchored ships to witness a spectacular display of dragon flight performances.
Seven dragons will take to the skies above Dragonstone and the Narrow Sea with their respective royal riders showcasing extremely skilled and breathtaking displays of artistic dragon-riding feats, further proving their bond and control over their majestic beasts.
3. Guided Tours of the Dragonmont
By royal invitation, nobles may view the dragons up close within the Dragonmont itself during the time period of dawn to mid-day, throughout the week of the event.
Small groups will be escorted in turns by dragonkeepers and Valyrian acolytes, who will explain the care, feeding, and training of dragons as well as tell tales of Valyrian rites. They use a variety of hand signals, Valyrian commands, incense and chains to demonstrate their training of the dragons that are housed there.
There will be strict rules on where to stand, where to look, when to kneel, when to leave.
Nobles are forbidden to speak loudly, touch anything, or wear loose metal.
What should be noted by all of Westeros that this is a rare and extremely generous honor by the KIng—and not for the faint of heart.
4. Royal Dragon Rides
Four active dragon-riders: the eldest two Targaryen royals and their Arryn cousins —have been tasked by the King with offering a single dragon ride per interested guest.
Rides are granted on a first-come, first-considered basis and may be refused at the riders’ discretion.

Location: Sunspear, on the beginning of the 3rd week of the 1st month of 21 AC, Event 03, Chapter 3
After having given her guests a couple of days to arrive, settle in and rest after their long and arduous journey, the Ruling Princess of Dorne then assembled everyone in the magnificent throne room housed within the Tower of the Sun. As the hum of whispers and conversation finally quietened down, the highly respected Princess Deria finally arose from her seat of gold inlaid with the Martell spear on its back and addressed the crowd of nobles and Targaryen royals. Sunlight streamed in through the many coloured glasses of the room casting almost an ethereal glow around the Dornish beauty and making the glossy marble floor of the room seem luminescent. Her naturally calm and elegant face uplifted into a beaming smile as she began to speak in her usual regal and warm manner.
"My esteemed guests, it is with great honour and gratitude that my family and I welcome you Sunspear; where the sun never forgets to shine, even after the longest of shadows. We gather not merely for celebration, though there is much to celebrate. Today, we stand at the meeting point of histories long set apart. Of paths that have crossed in fire, in grief, and in pride—and yet, still lead us here.” She paused briefly as she quickly glanced through the assembly, before she continued in her composed tone though there was an unmistakable gentleness now in her gaze and voice.
“There are those among us who remember when our banners faced one another across the field. When loss was counted not in numbers, but in names. Such memories do not vanish simply because we wish them to.”
“Nor should they. For it is only by remembering the cost of division that we may understand the worth of unity.”
She then turned slightly to her firstborn Crown Prince Qoren Martell, and to Princess Viserra Targaryen beside him.
“These two stand before us not as symbols alone, but as a promise. A promise that the future need not be bound to the wounds of the past. That what was forged in conflict may yet be remade in purpose.” Her gaze lifted once more to the gathered court.
“Peace is not the absence of strength. It is the discipline to wield it wisely. And alliance is not born of convenience, but of choice, renewed again and again.” Her hands folded lightly before her. “Let it be known that Dorne does not forget who she is. Nor do we ask any of you to forget who you are. But we ask this—” Deria inclined her head slightly as her voice lifted.
“That you stand here, today, not as remnants of what was… but as stewards of what may yet be.”
“With the union of my son, Qoren Martell, and Princess Viserra Targaryen, we do not simply bind two houses. We lay the foundation for something stronger than either alone: an alliance not easily broken, not lightly shaken. Let the past be honored—but not obeyed.”
“And let the future begin here.”
And with that Deria turned with a loving smile towards her firstborn daughter Arianne who then gracefully got up from her seat before starting to brief the crowd on what festivities they could participate in during the celebrations
Below are the official activities open to attending characters during the third event:
1. The Desert Race
At first light of tenth day, riders will gather beyond Sunspear at the Sandgate Fields, where the desert begins and the race takes form.
Spanning roughly thirty to forty kilometers, the course winds through open sands, towering dunes, rocky crossings, and heat-warped stretches that test both instinct and endurance. This is no simple race of speed: riders must pace themselves beneath the rising sun, navigate treacherous terrain, and choose wisely when to push forward or hold back.
The course moves from the Ember Reach into the Vaith River March, then continues through the Broken Steppe and the Red Dune Expanse, with designated checkpoints marking each stage of the race. Riders are tested at every stop, where pace, endurance, and control are reassessed under increasingly punishing conditions. The route then leads into the Shimmering Hollow before a final return via the Sunline approach to Sunspear, where the last checkpoint transitions into the final sprint home.
Minimal interference are allowed such as bumping, blocking, cutting off paths. No lethal sabotage but clever tricks are admired. Water stations in large tents constructed for a brief rest exist but are limited.
The race is expected to last about three to four hours, with victory awarded not to the swiftest alone, but to the rider who best masters the desert itself. In Dorne, survival is as worthy a triumph as speed, and only those who endure both will cross the line to claim the title of the Sun’s Chosen Rider.
The winner will also be awarded with a prized desert horse and gold.
Participants are encouraged by Princess Deria Martell to make use of their famed and exquisite Dornish sand steeds loaned out for the purpose of the race, though they are also welcomed to use their own horses if so desired.
2. Grand Bazaars:
Bazaars like you've never experienced before would be set up within the Winding Walls. Dornish trade wealth is on full display with silks, spices and gemstones.
Merchants from far and wide have been invited, including several from Essos and some from Yi Ti, to peddle their highly varied range of exotic and extraordinary wares.
3. Feasts & Performances:
Every night, the vast feasting hall in the Old Palace would host feasts featuring tropical, native Dornish delicacies many of which are accompanied with well-known Dornish spices.
Guests with different talents are also invited/ encouraged to perform on stage during the feasts as part of their wedding gifts to the betrothed royal couple.
4. Silk-painting
With Dorne famous for painting their own silks and to celebrate their ever-booming silk industry, guests are hence invited to witness silk-painting processes during the 2nd to 4th day of the festivities in the gardens near the Sandship.
Guests are also permitted to try their hand at it under guidance and may take home their creations.
5. Water Gardens:
In celebration of the wedding, the favorite private oasis retreat of the Martells are now fully opened to all guests. The tranquil gardens have been expanded with more pools and new artistic fountains and waterworks have been added to make the experience there even more pleasurable and awe-inspiring.
6. The Sunlit Audience Walk
Held in Throne Room in the Tower of the Sun during mornings of the first few days
Guests form a shifting procession line as each noble house approach the betrothed couple briefly.
They can present wedding gifts in the form of spoken or ritualistic blessings or symbolic tokens ( ring, cloths, spice, coin, etc.)
OOC info:
The festivities would last for 10 days in-character whilst threads can take place till the 30th of May ( extended ) with a major plot drop! Though there will be a couple of mini plot drops happening during the event so keep your eyes peeled for them hehe
The official wedding ceremony and reception will happen on the 7th day but for now please refrain from writing anything to do with the wedding ceremony and reception feast as a few special things might happen on that day! ;)
It has been about 8 months since the last event.
Your threads may take place anywhere and at any one of the mentioned festivities at any time. You don't need to follow day by day.

Location: King's Landing, on the last week of the 5th month of 20 AC, Event 02, Chapter 2
The bells of King’s Landing rang clear beneath a cloudless sky as the great gates of the newly constructed Red Keep stood open in deliberate welcome. Banners of crimson and black stirred in the sea breeze, and the Grand Hall had been transformed into a vision of royal splendor. Long tables draped in silk, long windows crowned with garlands, and braziers burning low in the midday light. Lords and ladies from across the realm were ushered within while musicians played bright, lilting melodies as if to soften the late summer heat.
When all had finally gathered, the King rose from his place upon the Iron Throne. Sunlight caught in the dark metal of the crown upon his brow as he surveyed the assembled nobility. His voice carried easily across the vast hall.
“Lords, ladies, lieges of the realm, as well as our esteemed Dornish allies. You honor us with your presence. Today we gather not merely to celebrate the completion of our majestic Red Keep, but to mark a new chapter in the life of this kingdom. These walls, raised from stone and sacrifice, stand as testament to our shared future. Let this day be one of fellowship, of renewed and new bonds, and of prosperity yet to come. To further share the joy of alliances and peaceful unity birthed through marriage, I would like to also announce the following betrothals that have come to my recent attention. Lord Vaelor Celtigar is to be wed to my beautiful step-niece Lady Alyssia Lannister whilst Lady Rhaena Velaryon will be tying a union with tba. Lady Alyssia’s cousin, Lady Eliana, seems to be not to far behind on becoming a bride soon as well, for she is now betrothed to Lord Edwin Stark. Please raise your glasses in a congratulatory toast to these new betrotheds as well as to the double royal betrothal between House Targaryen and House Martell!”
With a measured gesture, he then invited the realm to sit and dine as one. Servants moved swiftly, bearing platters of roasted meats glazed in honey and spice, fresh river trout, citrus-dressed greens, Dornish dates, Arbor vintages, and sweet cream pastries dusted with sugar. Laughter rose hesitantly at first — then warmer and fuller, as cups were lifted in salute. Above them all, the Red Keep loomed proud and newly finished, its red stone gleaming in the sun as if the fortress itself listened to the promises made within its shadow.
Below are the official activities open to attending characters during the second event:
1. The Illumination of Aegon’s Hill
Between dusk to twilight on the first day, a massive torch-lighting ceremony is conducted.
Braziers line the path from the main gates up toward the Keep. The heads of each noble house take turns to light up a brazier as a symbolic oath of fealty towards the Iron Throne.
The walk becomes a corridor of fire.
A huge brazier is placed right at the center of the Main Gate and everyone watches as the four royal betrotheds light up the brazier together in a symbolism of their unity.
Once the sun has fully set, a spectacular firework display is showcased, illuminating the new Royal Residence in all its glory.
2. Cultural Exchange Pavilion
The outer courtyard is draped in silks and banners from each kingdom.
A large and temporary wooden pavilion is erected in the center of the courtyard. Each evening showcases a performance from different regions such as Dornish dancers with flowing silks and rhythmic percussion, Reach harpists and courtly ballads, Stormlands battle-chant choir, dramatic Northern story-telling, Westerland plays. Wooden benches are strategically arranged for nobles to enjoy the shows.
Performances are not limited to be performed by staff only as talented nobles can join or do a solo performance as well.
This will last throughout the whole event as each region takes one evening.
3. The Royal Hunt
In the very early morning of the 9th day, the first grand Royal Hunt is set to occur in the Kingswood.
Every interested noble are invited to participate regardless of their gender.
Animals that are available to be hunted in the Kingswood are varied. Examples are red deers, stags, bucks, rabbits, hares, wolves.
However the main target of the event is a White Hart which was sighted a week ago. White harts are known be a very, suspected magical form of stags that are considered the “King of the Kingswood”. Truly a prestigious and symbolic prize for the best hunter of them all.
4. The Unveiling of the Hall of Histories
A newly commissioned gallery inside the Keep is now open for public viewing on the second day onwards. Before the official opening however, the king would assemble all nobles in the Royal Sept for a long, solemn prayer early in the morning, honoring the kings who fell during the Conquest.
Inside the gallery, one would find massive tapestries or masterpieces of artwork depicting notable events during the Conquest.
Also included is a Dornish panel portraying “peace through wisdom.” It showcases the signing of the Peace Treaty and a couple of ceremonies attended by the Ruling Princess of Dorne with her small delegation throughout the past few years.
5. Viewing of Nyessara’s Garden
Nobles are invited to stroll through the Royal Gardens which are also called Nyessara’s Garden in a tribute towards the Queen
Nobles can find Dornish citrus trees planted beside Crownlands pine trees, along with several unique Pentoshi plants and flowers.
In the middle of the gardens, one can find a striking fountain shaped like three dragon heads.
6. The First Court Held in the New Throne Room
On the 3rd day of the event, King Aegon holds the first public court in his new throne room.
He will hear petitions publicly, grant pardons, elevate smaller minor houses to greater esteem or create a new noble house and settle disputes fairly.
7. The Red Keep’s Royal Tourney
During the afternoons of the 4th day till the 9th, the Red Keep will bear witness to the first Royal Tourney being held in its home.
Archery, melee and jousting competitions will take place according to a schedule and every single noble is invited to enter if they so wish.
Winners will be awarded on the last day and as usual at the end of the main jousting event, the champion can crown a Queen of Love and Beauty.
OOC info:
The festivities would last for 9 days in-character whilst threads can take place for 16 days, ending on 31st of March with a plot drop!
It has been about 11 weeks since the last event. The Royal family & the current wards moved into the Red Keep a month ago.
