“Chilling In The Summer Shade”

Featuring my Naga-Gorgon Hybrid, Selene & her child, the cat goblin thing, Benji! 

This is my brightest illustration yet! I usually go just a little too light with my illustrations, but I think this is the first one that I’ve finally hit the nail on!

It’s my birthday today!

We usually go to the mall for pictures but since we can’t go anywhere, I got to start coloring my latest illustration! Here’s a sneak peak with Benji! They look so good being colored with bright india inks!

This is Vernon Hearthstone! He is a gargoyle who works as a chef!

He works in The Magnanimous Marketplace at his own little shop/restaurant.

He deeply cares about the Scalesworths (Benji & Selene) & really has a liking for Selene. (He love her!) She also has a liking for him, too. (She love him, too!)  Vernon is kind of like a father/teacher figure for Benji. 

Nobody seems to really know much about his past, but what’s more important is the present anyways!

Here’s Marston!

I’ve developed him quite a bit since I shared the first drawing of him with you guys! He’s a Burly Valley Beast, a subspecies of Valley Beasts. I like to think of them as firbolg-like creatures with cat & bear-like characteristics.

He’s mellow, shy, but also really caring & sweet. Especially towards Benji, who I drew beside him to show their size difference. Marston is so big compared to Benji! Then again, I’m pretty sure anyone who’s bulky & is 8 feet tall would look big compared to most creatures & people.

 I’ve came up with way more, but I don’t want to share too much about him!

Here’s Selene Scalesworth! She’s a Naga-Gorgon Hybrid!

If she looks familiar to you, that’s because she was in my last watercolor piece, “Goodnight Kisses.”

She’s Benji’s mom & is the local provider of rare, & thus valuable cockatrice eggs in the nearby towns &, most predominately, The Magnanimous Marketplace. The Marketplace is like an outdoor fantasy mall or like a near yearlong Renaissance Festival.
