Watching a UK masterchef professionals episode, and there was a round with a group who had amazing chemistry with each other, and all I can think of is a motley band of four monsters (or three and their adopted human) who all set up a restaurant together after the monster version of masterchef is over…

This is Vernon Hearthstone! He is a gargoyle who works as a chef!

He works in The Magnanimous Marketplace at his own little shop/restaurant.

He deeply cares about the Scalesworths (Benji & Selene) & really has a liking for Selene. (He love her!) She also has a liking for him, too. (She love him, too!)  Vernon is kind of like a father/teacher figure for Benji. 

Nobody seems to really know much about his past, but what’s more important is the present anyways!
