Jorden Sopher had just recently turned 18 years old when she vanished on May 23rd, 2006. The teen girl lived in Wabash, Indiana at the time of her disappearance. Jorden had spent most of her childhood in the foster system before she was adopted at age 16 by Robert and Linda Sopher. That same year, she dropped out of high school and later began working at a local Hardee's restaurant. However, during the spring of 2006, Jorden told her family members that she planned to re-enroll in high school so she could get a diploma. Before she had that opportunity, Jorden seemingly vanished without a trace. Months before her disappearance, Jorden moved out of her adoptive parent's home and had been staying with various relatives and friends in the Wabash area. She was staying with her friend and coworker Erin Harlan the weekend before her disappearance. The two reportedly last saw each other around 5:15am on May 23rd, 2006--when Erin woke up to go to her morning shift at Hardee's. Jorden told Erin that she was not working until later that day--so she stayed behind as Erin left for work. At a later point that morning, Jorden was dropped off at her adoptive parent's house in a truck driven by Cory Bridenthal. According to Jorden's father Robert Sopher, she spoke briefly to him in the garage before leaving the house on foot. After walking away from the house, Jorden was never seen or heard from again.

Elizabeth Breck vanished from the Sierra Tucson rehabilitation center in Tucson, Arizona on January 13th, 2019. The 46 year-old checked into the facility on January 10th to complete a 30-day treatment for trauma. After being evaluated by the staff, it was determined that Elizabeth was not a threat to herself or others. As a result, she was admitted to the general living quarters--an area in the facility that is not locked down. Just hours later, Elizabeth vanished. She has never been seen or heard from again. Elizabeth was reportedly seen for the last time around 3:00pm. At some point later that afternoon, staff discovered that she was missing. Elizabeth's medical bracelet and personal belongings were found in her assigned room. The only items missing were her ID card and some cash. Elizabeth's car remained in the facility's parking lot. However, Elizabeth herself was nowhere to be found. Since her disappearance, there has not been any activity on Elizabeth's credit cards. She also has not been in contact with any family members--including her 2 daughters--which is uncharacteristic of her. The rehabilitation facility reportedly told local investigators that Elizabeth left the building on her own volition and was not in crisis at the time of her disappearance. However, her family disagrees. Elizabeth's parents believe she was having a mental breakdown that played a role in her disappearance from the facility. The family has since filed a complaint against the facility. Her parents also claim that the facility has not provided any information about their daughter's disappearance and there is reportedly no known surveillance footage of Elizabeth exiting the building. Elizabeth's family members hired private investigators to help search for Elizabeth. A five-mile radius around the facility was thoroughly searched, but unfortunately nothing was found. The private investigators also received a few tips about reported sightings, but none of them have panned out. Since then, very few clues have turned up. Elizabeth's family members have set up a GoFundMe page to help them continue to pay for their private investigator. If you'd like to donate, please go here. If you have any information that could lead to her whereabouts, please call (520)-882-7463 to submit an anonymous tip.
Cindy Rivera went missing at the age of 19 on June 30th, 2012. The young mother was last seen at her father's house in Las Vegas, New Mexico, where she lived with her family members and a bedridden man who was under her care. Cindy left the home on the evening of June 30th, after telling the bedridden man that she would only be gone for a few minutes. Unfortunately, she never returned. Cindy left her infant son in the bathroom, and the bedridden man reportedly heard the baby crying all night. When Cindy's family members returned home the following morning, they found Cindy's slippers, a few cigarettes, and a lighter strewn across the ground outside. Both Cindy and Cindy's car were nowhere in sight. She was reported missing shortly thereafter. Over the years, police have reportedly followed many leads in the case, but Cindy has still not been found. Cindy's family members believe that she was kidnapped and murdered. In fact, they originally named two different men as the probable killers: one of them being her ex-husband and father of one of her children. The family members later stated that they believed the ex-husband was the one responsible; they had even heard rumors that he bragged about killing Cindy and burying her in a remote desert area. Despite this, police initially did not the ex-husband or the other man as suspects in the case. They stated that they simply do not have probable cause to execute search warrants on either man. The media also did not release the names of either men. Cindy's disappearance quickly faded into a cold case. News about her case was scarce for several years. Then, in 2021, an arrest was finally made - allowing the case to move forward for the first time since 2012.

other thing I would like to see on Mindhunter: an uncomfortably long scene consisting solely of the entire team laughing their asses off because they just heard how BTK got caught
