It's still very early in the plotting process, but here's a mood board that'll give you a little sneak peek at some of the aesthetics and ideas behind the next Pixlriffs fic that I'll be working on once A Tale of Two Devotions is complete.

It already has a title, but as with all my fics while they're being teased before I start posting, you're only getting its initials, which are: TDHD.

Welp. I've just found Pix's theme for TDHD - the next story that I'll be writing.

Earbuds in/headphones on, and volume up. Get it as loud as you can bear. It's fucking epic. (I mean, it's Les Friction; of course it's epic.)

And brace yourself at 02:50...

(It's his theme, but it's being sung to him, about him, by somebody else.)

At last, he reached the place. It was a large, circular room formed of ancient carved bricks whose dank crevices were embraced and suffocated by shrouds of lichen and moss. Water lay ankle-deep here, too; dark and rippling in an unseen breeze, the locus of its waves a waist-high plinth of shining polished sandstone whose top was brightly lit by a beam of unexpected sunlight from a hole carved high in the ceiling. On the opposite side of the room, rusted iron railings ran from floor to ceiling, and set into them was a gate that hung half-open and inviting.
