Here's to the voice actress of King Ezran from 2018 to 2024, Sasha Zoey Rojen!
With all the exciting news for The Dragon King coming out and seeing Ezran all grown up, I'm pretty sure he'll have a new voice actor cast for him.
While I certainly hope Sasha still plays a part in the making of The Dragon King, I wanted to take a moment to show some love to the person who brought Ezran to life so beautifully and emotionally over the years, with not just a convincing but evocative performance that made us fall in love with Ezran's character the way we did.
Sasha Zoey Rojen is a very talented and down-to-earth girl, unlike other celebrities I've seen. Born on November 18th, 2006. She is a competitive (WAG) gymnast who represented Team BC in 2015, 2016, and 2017 at the Western Canadian Gymnastics Championship, and is also a fantastic artist who specializes in watercolor and painting faces.
I wish her all the best, a very bright future, and even more heartfelt roles crafted just for her. This is her Instagram, so check out her stuff and let her know how awesome she is!

Arc Three - Emperor/King Ezran [Headcanons] TW! Headcanons with a red font include mentions of death and/or injuries
Emperor/King Ezran of Katolis & Evrkynd
So, first of all, technically speaking, since Ezran rules over two massive territories or kingdoms spanning miles between each other, I'd say that a more accurate (and cooler) title would be Emperor. Though I doubt the concept of empires and emperors exists in the canonical lore.
Ezran would be best at hand-to-hand combat, since it's the type of combat he'd need most growing up, considering how many times he's probably been close to meeting his mom.
His fighting style would be very diverse with all the mentors he has. Ezran would likely lean more into moonshadow and sunfire styles because they'd be more fun and unexpected. Much to Soren's dismay, he does the sweep-the-leg thing a lot.
I fully believe Ezran would grow up to be the "looks like could kill you, is a cinnamon roll" type of person. Ezran just looks very tough, people close to him know he gives all the baitlings a kiss on the forehead before bedtime.
He walked with a very slight limp after the events in the lair of Rex Igneous, so only Corvus noticed it. Over the course of the next seven years, it healed.
Ezran hid away the Nova Blade in a bunker beneath the Banther Lodge. Out of sight, out of mind, right? He tried not to look at at too much, at least as less as possible while preparing Katolis and Evrkynd for Aaravos's return.
He carries a small dagger that Runaan gifted him, strapped to his waist under his shirt. It was a gift for his birthday, and Ethari had specially forged it for him, reminiscent of all his close friends' weapons and Zym's scales. Fortunately, he's used it most when helping Terry with gardening.
Ezran sometimes braids his hair with Corvus or Rayla's help for formal occasions; otherwise, it's mainly in a bun or ponytail. Runaan once helped fix his braids after they became loose... it looked very pretty.
Sometimes he sneaks out at night, wearing a cloak to roam Katolis and Evrkynd, disguising himself as a local civilian. Many have had heart attacks seeing the boy they offered food to, thinking he was a beggar wearing a crown during the day.
Ezran often visits his mother's slightly charred statue to pay his respects and light a candle around midnight, when everyone's asleep.
Amaya challenges Ezran to a duel whenever she sees him "to test him," as she says. Ezran always found a way to disappear before that. Behind his back, Amaya says he carries himself a lot like his mother did.
He became very fluent in sign language, so Gren no longer needs to translate for them, and they have secret conversations all the time. (Amaya gives him life advice)
Ezran frequently receives handmade bracelets and other embroideries from the children of Katolis and Evrkynd, and he tries to wear all of them unless there's a risk of losing them. He even has a little box in his room for all the trinkets he's been given.
Ezran is THE best talker, always knowing how to get himself out of a bad situation. Thus, Rayla usually brings him with her for illegal purposes.
He is FANTASTIC at verbal beatdowns and made a noble cry once. (but he feels terrible about it and tries to leave the room from sheer guilt whenever someone talks about it.)
From being able to converse with animals, Ezran can kind of "speak" in their language. I mean, like when he needs directions he'll chirp at a random bird and nod intently, or when he's scolding a mean snake he'll bare his teeth and hiss. He has received several odd looks because of this.
He... knows... ALL THE GOSSIP. Even if you think he doesn't know, HE DOES. THE ANTS THE BIRDS THAT ONE MOSQUITO ARE ALL HIS INFORMANTS YOU ARE SURROUNDED-
Crows despise him because he's "too nice" (this is canon btw).
When Ezran rebuilt Katolis, he added secret entrances all around the castle so that he could keep his childhood memories of sneaking in and out of places. Only Callum and Corvus (he figured it out) know about it; all everyone else knows is that they've never seen Ezran enter a room before.
Ezran learnt multiple languages over the years, including Xadian ones. Janai is especially pleased when he addresses her in an ancient sunfire dialect.
He has a pretty good tolerance to poison since.... well..
Whenever Ezran is sick or has coughing fits, the entire room and everyone within earshot goes silent, fearing he might've been poisoned until he stops or someone snaps out of it to give him some water.
He developed a habit of sniffing his drink or food before consuming it, unless someone he trusted gave it to him. Ezran's first act of trust towards Runaan was accepting anything he offered him.
Ezran loves music and ballroom dancing, and he learnt to play the harp. He plays it whenever he's stressed about something or to lull someone to sleep. Ezran also turned a few of Damian's (Callum's biological father) poems into songs.
He and Ellis are pen pals, and he frequently receives chains of mini paintings she got made to recreate her journeys, along with a lot of "junk" like tickets, receipts, a cool leaf, etc.
Ezran and Opeli have very similar mannerisms when in formal situations, and sometimes they even move in sync. Opeli is particularly proud of herself for being Ezran's guardian.
The Dragaang randomly go on "expeditions" in the nearby forests and have picnics every once in a while. Sometimes, with Zym's help, they'd have sky picnics. Soren has nearly fallen off several times.
With his life constantly at stake, he's had multiple "if I ever die" talks with Soren, Corvus, Rayla, and Callum, which usually ended with Soren hugging Ezran and Callum, Corvus, and Rayla leaving the room with very watery eyes, swearing up and down that it will never happen and they'd protect him with their life.
Ezran once sat down with Opeli to write his will and testament, a very lengthy document for an emperor/king. Despite being so efficient and honest in her work and the lives of Katolis and Evrkynd, Opeli didn't want that kind of document to exist at all. In the end, it was half-complete and stored far away in some corner of Opeli's office.
If he did die young, he wanted Callum to be next in line for the throne. Though if Callum didn't want the role (which Ezran knew he probably wouldn't), it'd be passed on to their aunt Amaya. Lots of old gifts, trinkets, and letters were to be given to the people he loves. They sounded painfully like King Harrow's letter to Callum.
There have been lots of emergency trips to the hospital and anxious nights spent there.
Callum learnt first aid for Ezran.
Ezran has a lot of scars all over his body, most of which are barely visible, though. He tries to cover them up so as to not worry everyone else until they fully heal.
