I gutted through my cupboard (finally!) and decided to bring the spare tea I didn’t want up to work (which people gladly partook in so it disappeared out of the two bags I brought before the end of my shift yesterday). I’m happy that some of it is going to get a little more love than what I was giving it. I still have an ungodly amount to drink through (we’re talking years worth of tea for me).

All the tins you see on the bottom in the picture is all tea I’m not going to be stocking up on once I manage to get through what I’ve currently got. I’ve got a bit of coffee to last me as well besides the sample packs you see on the bottom shelf.

I got my order from @bonescoffeecompany for some larger bags of the flavours I really liked and of course a plain bag of dark roast. I really love their coffee, I wasn’t going to place another order before the end of the year but I decided to.

It’s funny I was telling a pal of mine about some of the coffee I ordered, curiously they asked me the price so I told them. Ordering from the US is always expensive for me living in the great white north so shipping works out to be about $32~33USD whenever I place an order from bones (which is kind of pricey but worth it for the speed and lack of border tax). Hilariously enough I’m not a math junkie but I decided to work out the math on just exactly how much does a cup of Joe from these guys cost me? It works out (with shipping and taxes) to be 87 cents a cup. Not bad since I know folks who grab Starbucks practically 365 and they’re paying 5~6 dollars for a drink. I think I’m doing pretty well if I can get a nicer cup, brew it how I want and pay less than a dollar for it.

I’m someone that typically buy in bulk and make everything myself which might seem costly up front but it’s cheap in the long run. Food is expensive where I live and I’m the person who buys the groceries in my house so I want to be somewhat friendly on the pocketbook. I typically buy stuff that’s either on sale or in season too. So needless to say coffee is definitely one of those items just like my tea or other groceries.

Well either way, I don’t think I’ll be buying tea for a very long time now that I’ve got everything fixed up in my cupboard. Here’s the list of what I will restock if I decide to. If I can’t find exactly what I’m looking for then I’ll just find something similar or swap it out completely. It’s mostly straight teas but that’s what I like the most. The bulk of what I’m not restocking is fruity/chocolatey teas.
