Well, my birthday snuck up on me and I’m now 29 today! I’ve done a fair amount of art commissions during high school but officially started freelancing and selling gallery work at 19 so this makes for a decade of this career!

Despite everything shitty going on, I’m grateful to be here with so many good people :)

Here’s a little teapet I made in the new year and forgot to post, its unglazed so it can “drink” and take on the aroma and patina of Gongfu tea

I've just learnt about tea pets and are you kidding me?? it's so cute! And there's so many possibilities! Imagine Shen Jiu with a collection of little figurines. He started the collection because he was self-learning pottery because he's a damn overachiever, and it's supposed to bring luck (the gods know he needs it).

Or YQY would see one and then offer him only tea pets for the rest of the year until SQQ snaps.

Maybe LQG saw one and decided it was a grand idea to like carve into wood the beasts he's hunting--or in their own bones (why waste?) and give it to SQQ. It was to replace tedious reports where the scholar asked this or that characteristic. Somehow it endeared him to the torn of a man??!

MQF mussing aloud the tea pet could get lonely (SQQ hid most of his collection and use a different tea set & tea pet for each peak lord) and brings an incense pet filled with relaxing herbs.

Qi Qingqi just finds it cute that if SQQ's little tea pet is chipped he tuts like a mother seeing their child with a lil' paper cut.

(maybe his most loved one, made of some qi enriched clay, take life one day)

drinking pai mu tan (i bought a whole cake some time ago) while watching the amazing anime adaption of a manga ive been a huge fan of for years,, i think ive been collecting it since the day it started coming out in czech, which was back in 2020. ive never expected wha to get such a great adaptation, i was quite skeptical about it at first, but oh man, this is some of the most beautiful anime ive ever watched.

also, this was an awesome train ride! not just that there were no delays, but i got to watch the sunset and had the whole coupe just for myself, so i did not have to struggle with anxiety that i would otherwise experience if i had to share the space with someone. oh god, if it was always this nice...
