I've had the pleasure of creating art for @aquietwritingcorner's FMA Big Bang 2021 fanfic, "Embers of Revalations"- a sequel fanfic to her previous FMA Big Bang fanfic, "Embers in a Wounded Heart". You can find her both on AO3 and ff.net as RealityBreakGirl.

Her fanfic is rich with history of Riza's past, and her choice to tell the story through Havoc is refreshing.

Summary: Tasked by Fuhrer Grumman to investigate a suspected alchemic incident, General Mustang's team finds themselves stranded in Hawkeye's hometown. Needing a place to stay, they find themselves taking shelter in her childhood home. However, her past can't stay buried there, and as revelations come to light, they also bring embers of danger with them.

sunflower: what makes you nostalgic?

I feel like I'm always slightly nostalgic for something just somewhere in the back of my mind. Probably music from the late 2000s to early 2010s - the hit stuff and the stuff from Disney/Nickelodeon stars. In the beginning of quarantine, I listened to a bunch of Big Time Rush and that brought me a lot more happiness than I thought it would.

paper crowns: if you were a color, what color would you be?

One of my aunties called me an "indigo child" once. I searched it up and I'm dubious of the concept, but I think indigo could be an accurate color for me.

uh so i drew this thing and someone said it looked like kokomi from genshin impact and i get why!!! same colors yknow but this was supposed to be a lionfish dragon haha but it turned out differently uhhhh.... so maybe kokomi dragon???? also inspo was lionfish

For the otp ask game: Who says "I love you" first? (i personally think it was Roy but I just wanna hear your thoughts)

I’m so sorry I didn’t get to this earlier! aaaa Who says “ I love you “ first? I absolutely agree with you that it’s Roy. I feel like he’s the one who’s more verbal when it comes to relationships, and Riza is the one who communicates through looks and subtle, gentle touches. Extra, because I felt like this response was too short: I have this idea where Mustang is drunk and Hawkeye is driving him home in a really bad mood. She’s pulling up to his driveway to drop him off and she turns to Mustang, who happens to be asleep with a dribble of drool slipping down his mouth. It’s almost 11 PM on a Wednesday and she is not ready for her superior’s games, but she kindly finds a tissue in her car to wipe off the drool and wake him up. As she helps him out of the car and to the threshold of his house door, she hears him mumble, “I love you,” and suddenly she’s glad she brought him home.  Thanks for the ask, anon!

ROYAI OTP ASK GAME! 22- Who is more affectionate and like who had to learn to be more affectionate?

Who’s more affectionate? Definitely Roy. I see him as the one who goes up to Hawkeye as she’s cooking, whether the food is burning or not , then just wrapping his arms around her and nuzzling the back of her neck. Roy is the person who holds their partner in bed as tight as humanly possible, despite Hawkeye’s struggling or her swatting his arms away. He also likes to give kisses, no matter the time of day/night. And I mean a lot of kisses. Who has to learn to be more affectionate? Riza, though I also support the idea that Roy is just fine with how affectionate she is. I think he’s a flexible man when it comes to Riza, but he can be very needy and quite clingy at times.  I think one thing that Hawkeye learns from spending time with Roy is that she has to give back hugs or kisses most of the time or Mustang will be a real pain for the rest of the day. For the OTP ask game 9 and 14 please!

:D Absolutely, anon ! And, of course, royai.  9, what made them realize they were in love : I think that there are two different sides to when they fell in love. For Mustang, I think it’s when Mustang was learning from Berthold Hawkeye, still quite early in his apprenticeship. In my head, Hawkeye would “serve” Mustang, like cleaning for him, making food for him... and that’s when he fell in love. I think it was just Riza being super kind and sweet to the young Roy Mustang, is what made him fall in love with her. Basically, in their mid- teens. 

For Hawkeye, she realized she was in love waaaaay after Mustang did. I believe she realized she was in love with him two to five months later after Roy had left for the military. By this I mean when Roy could no longer visit the Hawkeye estate anymore, with Berthold dead and after his burial. I solely believe that with nobody close to her, she felt super lonely. Extra: it is super canon that she wrote letters to roy, but he rarely responded, leaving riza feel forgotten.   14, are there any love rivals? : Oh heck yeah. Most of them are on Mustang’s side though. I think that Mustang has more than half of the female Amestrian population drooling over him. The fact that, in the manga, when Mustang enters Christmas’s bar, one speech bubble in a panel says, “Oh, it’s Roy!” Then it proceeds to show Vanessa treating him dearly. Extra: When Hawkeye sees, this, she gets jealous. Very jealous, but she tries to hide it.  For Riza, there’s been a couple, like a few naive soldiers who’ve fallen for Riza’s looks, but then either directly shot down by Hawkeye or by Mustang, who, obviously would be super jealous and scare them off.  Is this late? idk
