Mariel Buque, M.A. is a Ph.D. Candidate in Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her clinical, research, and advocacy foci are centered on the advancement of culturally responsive clinical and pedagogical interventions and on addressing racial health disparities by increasing access points to mental health for people of color. She has been recognized by the Association for Hispanic Mental Health Professionals for her consultative work and practice around the delivery of culturally and linguistically appropriate services for racial-ethnic minorities within healthcare institutions and is a former Behavioral Health Integration Fellow of the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
