On Earth, there’ll always be music

There will be friends and neighbours

Of every persuasion

And of every nation too

Won’t you come along to Soho with me?

Heaven on Earth, they call it Whickber Street …

It’s the street where the best folks always meet,

Come let’s go, get happy feet!

Kooky bookshop here, but the owner is hunky!

Brown’s World of Carpets, let’s skip that, that’s too swanky…

Eclectic choice of records in The Small Back Room, that’s funky,

Raise a few with me now in the Dirty Donkey!

Seamstresses crowd, who’ll mend your shirts and sox!

Tiny alleys full of old-fashioned sex shops…

Really, don’t pay the blue glassed fox,

‘Ello, ‘ello, ‘ello, see any kinky white cops?

Eat Eccles cakes while my espresso cups pile…
