Rokkr Sieges is back and so am I!! So I have the usual Guard/Noontime/Breath of Life/Dancer Hell set up, but this time idky but I tried Keaton first and I was like huh why is this not getting me my 150k??? I had Olwen laying around, plus a copy of her, so I just....slapped the usual on her and went with it. They got 150 against both Ikes and things worked out. Not really much of a strategy I guess lol But it’s nice to know that even older units like Olwen can stand up in these fights
Limited Hero battles are back too so I’m sure I’ll post those as well soon
My main team finally reached level 90 after a couple weeks of grinding. And I finally got passed AR50, it was actually pretty easy but I wanted to have them at level 90 before I did it.
Below is an overview of each character in case anyone is interested in that.
But long story short, I use Diluc and Kaeya as my main attackers (both are really good, and both of them combined are even better), and Sucrose and Albedo for support, and boy, they’re excellent at that too.
With the 4 of them combined I really feel invincible, I don’t think I’m gonna change this team anytime soon!
[Edited the images a little so stats can be seen better]
First is Diluc. Razor was the first character I pulled and I really liked him so he was my main at first. I got used to play with claymore so when I got Diluc he was the one to be my main, even though I like Kaeya the most.
With his special attacks he's both fast and powerful (even though he always ends up burning himself...). I actually have his “canon” Claymore (the one he uses in cutscenes) but I like this one better because it lets him sometimes use his special attacks twice in a row which is incredibly useful for him.
As a character, I liked Diluc at first, though I wasn’t sure about him because he seemed so... perfect (I tend to like cool but flawed characters). But after learning his story, I really started to like him more and more, and I’m so happy that he was the first 5* that I pulled. I know many people don’t have him yet and it’s very sad, I hope they do a banner for him soon.
Second is Kaeya, my favourite character in the game. I doubt he and Diluc will ever leave my team. Kaeya is very fast and surprisingly powerful, thanks in part to his 5* sword, the only one I have. It basically heals him a little if he gets hit, which is really good to be honest, sometimes he doesn’t even take damage as a result.
His special attack is great to combine with other elements, and his ultimate attack is pretty useful to deal extra damage with other characters (such as using it with Diluc and constantly trigger the Melt effect, it's awesome. He also combines well with Razor). After I gave him some Cryo Bonus he really became a little broken! He does really good damage and people shouldn’t understimate him.
He was the character I looked forward the most when I started playing. I liked him, but after learning his whole story “like” became “love”. I love characters with conflicting and complicating stories. His is so good and fascinating, and I really look forward to what will happen in the future. His relationship with Diluc (as brothers) is my favourite, I love conflicting sibling stories.
Third is Sucrose. She's the least powerful of the bunch, but she's my crowd control character. I don't use her for dealing normal damage but her special and especially her ultimate attack are AMAZING. She has the same type of weapon as Diluc so her ultimate charges pretty quick.
She's just what my team needed for when I have to battle a lot of minor enemies. At first I only had her on the team because I wanted to keep Lumine as Geo and needed an Anemo character (since I don’t have Venti or Jean). But after using her for a while I started to really like her.
I took a liking to her, even without knowing much about her. She's pretty cute and I love her excitement for science. I’m glad she got some screentime recently, she really needed that. Some other 4* characters also deserve more attention.
Finally, Albedo. The most recent addition. I wanted to have him, but I wasn't sure if he would fit in the main team. Turns out he was perfect. His special attack is great for dealing extra damage, and makes him powerful even though his attack damage isn't as high.
I gave him the Dragonspine sword because of the event but also because it's very useful for his abilities as it charges his attacks really quick.
Just like with Diluc, I wasn’t sure about him because he seemed so perfect at first, and he still kinda is. But knowing about the secret things that he knows that could potentially serve as an interesting plot event in the future gave me a reason to be more interested in him. And I like that he has a relationship with Sucrose similar to how Diluc and Kaeya also have one, so that the team feels more united.

I'd say that the weakest point of my team is the lack of an archer and healer. If I'm careful then it's ok but when facing a strong opponent it can be difficult without quick healing.
However I have also trained an archer (Diona) and healer (Barbara) for situations when I would need one of them. So it's ok that it's not perfect for every situation, I just want a team with characters that I like and gameplay that is fun and this is perfect right now.
My second team is currently: Lumine, Keqing, Xinyan and Barbara. I want to talk about them like this eventually but they're still in the middle of training.
This was the last of my Rokkr Sieges attempt today. I did get 150,000 damage against Tharja but the same set up didn’t work with Kiria and I’m not sure why haha she kept targeting other members of the team and I had to move them around and it messed up the formation/sacrificed my hits. Tharja was happy to target Reinhardt, though, so that made getting hers easier.
Basically, Reinhardt was doing quad attacks and buffed/sung to to do it four times each phase (ideally). Guard kept the rokkr from switching, Noontime kept him healed/guard in effect, and Breath of Life kept the dancers healed.
Weird enough, this happened with the other phases, too. I got Titana’s accessory but not Greil’s, and I got Brigid’s but not Kronya’s. I guess I’m still learning about how to do these maps best.
Ok, this took a bit of optimizing and shuffling around my units/skills. I tried with ninja Laevatein first, for that sweet sweet quad attack, but she fell short a couple thousand. I switched to Micaiah for the cav effective bonus (and briefly tried Azura with Ridersbane but it did not work) and Micaiah is who ended up pulling through for me.
At first I was only able to get the 150k on intermediate with the rokkr hitting Micaiah on the end enemy phase turn, but through a combination of boxing the rokkr into a corner spot (herded there by carefully positioning Xander or Peony) and cutting them off with Peony and Azura, I was able to get the 200,000 damage on Advanced mode. Actually, it felt a bit easier in Advanced as I think I finished a turn early, but I had to be careful with poor Xander and his low res/spd (that 2018 seasonal mood) and also occasionally taking time to snipe problematic enemies.
I was surprised how well this turned out this time! They cleared both enemies on the advanced level at 200,000 damage. Guard is the most useful, along with Ishtar’s Breath of Life Seal and her Air Orders. It allowed me to get Olivia into position easier as I found the most optimal position to have Phina and Olivia blocking off Dorcas/Hawkeye, Ishtar catty corner (ideally on a fortress spot), and Lene bringing up the rear as she had the lowest Def. Sometimes I needed to divert them to take out powerful foes, like Phina take out an armored blue, or Lene taking out a blue mage, but overall they all performed really well.
I’m gonna optimize up their skills a bit with some help from Forging Bonds (just slap a matching blessing and they can get up to 24SP on the lowest FB level per kill) but, like I said, they were able to handle things just like this. I forgot how much I enjoy this mode.
OK honestly, as soon as I saw this was with Awakening units, I stopped caring too much because Frederick is my main unit, the most built of any of my units, and I have others that I use often. Frederick and Knight Chrom are actually S-supported. I threw in legendary Chrom cause he’s good and by that point I couldn’t not put Frederick with three Chroms. So here he is, single-handedly protecting his lords from all because he pretty much solo’d the map aside from an assist or two from knight Chrom and legendary Chrom.
