Shifting gaze in a handstand practice is such an amazing thing to gradually learn. When learning handstand, the gaze in between palms becomes essential to keep focus and keep balanced. We handstanders can become quite attached to it. Learning to change that gaze shift is almost like learning to let go of the one thing you thought was stabilising you. It's such an amazing thing to learn because you are basically learning to remove the attachment you once had on the one thing you though kept you grounded in flight. And then the amazing realisation that you can still fly without it! Also, through the process, you eventually start learning to lead with your heart (because what you need to balance yourself in this pose is the action of pushing the chest forward, which is essentially working towards a hollow back position - aka heart opener!) Imagine applying that outside of the mat... . This is why I think yoga is more than just a work out or a stretch. If you pay close attention, it's learning to live! #yogalessonsarelifelessons #practiceawareness #yoganerd . . . . . . . #handstand #handstandpractice #onhandswestand #gazeshift #handstandhollowback #hollowback #hollowbackhandstand #handstandgazeshift #handstandtuck #hollowthatbackgirl #teamforcore #practiceandalliscoming #practicenotperfection #ardhomukhavrksasana #shapeupyourinversions #invertyohips #handstandlove #handstandpractice #yogapractice #yogajourney #yogaeveryblessedday #yogagirl
