Billboard Music Awards...Keshaaaaaa!!!!!!!! :)

So damn good to see Kesha perform. Besides my ears being happy, I was happy to see her on there doing what she does best. Such a shame in this day & age somebody as talented as this lovely woman has to go through all this shit. She’s the one who suffered and is still suffering, and what a label/giant like Sony can’t do anything to help her?!?! What the hell makes them think you can contain a force of nature & a voice like that? I’m glad artists like Adele, T Swift & Lady Gaga have vocalized their support. If Sony had any business sense, they’d do their bloody best to make sure this songbird’s voice is heard, not quashed & tossed down memory lane. I was so enraged to hear that Dr Luke & his label had the gall to block Kesha from singing at the Billboard awards and there was nothing being done to stop him from doing so. For all the talk in the media and community about how abuse is not something to be taken lightly and it’s never the victim’s fault, isn’t that exactly what got dis-proven in Kesha’s case? Didn’t she just become a victim of victim shaming and blaming? Things like this fucking piss me off, there’s talk and then there’s action. Don’t preach and publicize issues if you can’t back it up with actions, ‘cuz there’s one too many hearts and souls you let down when you fail to back up the things you say. And you know those people you even give that sliver of light called hope to? Well guess what? Their hope gets crushed and ground to dust and they’re reminded of all the things they’ve tried to bury and get past.

Here’s hoping that we can all do more than chant slogans. Let’s actually embrace our humanity and help those around us, you never know who needs only a moment of your time to make an everlasting impact on their lives. Listen more, scream & shout pointlessly a little less.
