I actually answered most of this over in > this ask here < ! so i’m gonna go on a little bit of a tangent about his appearance

speaking of ‘your daughter calls me daddy too’, Alter is rather unaware of the fact that he’s Big Spicy 98% of the time. He just kind of... without thinking, gravitates toward clothes that fit him well, and everybody looks good in black, so he Ends Up Hot. on top of the fact that like. he looks like he could snap you in half and you’d thank him for it.This does not entirely process through Alter’s head, so he is very often “????????” when people are attracted to him. It happens a lot with masters or general humans he meets in singularities and the like and hes mostly “did you Not Notice My Personality????” over it bc he’s not self aware enough to realize he’s also good looking. If you asked him to describe his appearance, he’d guess he looks average, albeit buffer than most humans, and the fact that he’s decidedly handsome, tall, and built just whizzes right over his head, never to be noticed. The general human appreciation for his outfit types also is completely beyond his awareness. He just likes neat lines in clothing for himself, and kinda... ends up like this.

hues lifted at the question , from the book that was held delicately in her hands to the servant who stood before her.   there was a pause as she thought about the question , lowering the book so that it rested on her lap.   she had expected this to come up sooner or later , after all , a servant would be curious as to why their master was participating in a bloody war.   but now that it was asked , she was drawing a blank.

that is until mismatched hues found their way to a photograph , placed on the coffee table against the wall.   of two young children , stained by dirt && grass but smiling without a care in the world.   she could almost hear the cheerful laughter.

her answer was clear as day.   “  so that someone else doesn’t have to.  ”
